Explosive!…Representative Government?
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Constitution in Peril; World Affairs; World Economy .
There is so much to be startled about in this speech by Joe Biden that I have to pick only a couple of items due to space. Mostly I want you to read his own words…they speak for themselves for those who have a little practice in liberal doublespeak. At the bottom of the article is the last paragraph of commentary on Biden’s speech by Glenn Beck.
First and foremost, the rose colored glasses must come off regarding any pretense of a representative government if Obama and Biden are voted into office. Biden said that some of their decisions will not be popular, “because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound”. There is no pretense here that their actions will represent the American people, and in fact, he makes it clear that the majority of our citizens will make unsound decisions and should not be heard. The second point I most want to emphasize is Biden’s comments on the financial meltdown. He talked of the systemic problems in our economy. Combine this with other statements by him and Obama and we see how ready the power elite are to sellout our free market system. I happen to agree with what Glenn Beck suggests about this issue at the end of this article.
Biden to Supporters: “Gird Your Loins”, For the Next President “It’s Like Cleaning Augean Stables”
ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.
“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.
“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”…
“I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I’m not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it,” the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. “This guy has it. But he’s gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?’ We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”
“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”…
“All kidding aside, these guys have left us in a God-awful place,” he then said of the Bush regime, promptly wrapping up his remarks. “We have the ability to straighten it out. It’s gonna take a little bit of time, so I ask you to stay with us. Stay with us.”HERE
Glenn Beck:
So what happens if maybe he’s talking about there’s going to be an international crisis and that international crisis revolves around the Great Depression 2? What about that? And it might look very unpopular, but I’m going to need your help. And maybe that’s one global financial system. Maybe it’s one global currency because that’s what China and France and everybody else is asking for now, one global currency. Gird your loins. “Gird your loins” are his words. This is not the campaign of hope and change. This is not the “We just need to get in there.” This is not the message that you’re getting from Wall Street. This is not the message that you’re getting from any of the business leaders. This is not the message that you’re getting from the Fed or the Treasury. You are not getting this. You are not getting that a guy could go — Barack Obama could be Jesus to a year from now. Quote: I guarantee you you are going to be saying, oh, my God, why are they there in the polls,” where he a year in advance is begging for you to stick with him. And if things are that bad in the polls and he knows public opinion, he knows, quote, what is right, but the American people will not know what is right — do you hear this? He knows, Barack Obama knows what’s right but you will not know what is right and so he’s saying, “We’re going to need your influence because the little people will disagree with it,” how do you stop, how do you stop disenfranchisement from being a movement? How do you stop people when the government says “We know, little person, what is right and you’re wrong and in time we’ll prove you wrong and you’ll know. So sit there and shut up.” What does that mean about the Fairness Doctrine? How are they going to let voices like mine or Rush or Sean, how are they going to let voices like this say they’re wrong! They won’t. And it will be an international crisis that Joe Biden has just guaranteed us, if it takes six months. This is why I’ve been saying you’ve got to prepare because those who are prepared will not fear. Those who will prepare can lead the way. Those who are prepared, who understand what’s coming, what they’re talking about. I told you before none of these people are telling you the truth. This is the closest to the truth I’ve heard any of these people say. Those who are prepared will be able to lead and calm those around them that are panicking.
