The Israeli Dilemma

Whenever an Arab country and especially the Palestinians launch an attack on Israel, the Jews are criticized by the world wide press and usually the UN if they strike back as a deterent. They are expected to give a measured response that does nothing but encourage the aggressor to continue this kind of action. This was the mind-set that made Vietnam a quagmire instead of using the necessary force to actually win.
If Israel was not as good at defending themselves, they would not receive so much criticism. They get attacked and civilians killed but not many. They strategically attack the areas where rockets are launched and because they are better at war, the world is angered. Militants purposely put their own civilians at risk by putting their rocket launchers in neighborhoods with children. Then they blame the Israelis for killing the children. This is cowardly and shameful behavior. How dare they launch an attack then call the Israelis terrorists when they defend their people by taking out launch areas hidden among the innocents. Shame on the world press for enabling this behavior and blaming the defenders.
Israel Takes Gaza Fight to Next Level in a Day of Strikes

GAZA — Israeli aircraft and troops attacked Palestinian positions in northern Gaza on Saturday, killing at least 54 people and wounding more than 100 in the deadliest day of fighting in more than a year. Two Israeli soldiers were killed and seven wounded, the military said…
Half the dead were reported to be Hamas gunmen or those belonging to affiliated groups like Islamic Jihad. But at least 19 Palestinian civilians also died in the heavily populated area, including four children, according to Dr. Moawiya Hassanain of the Gazan Health Ministry…
The fighting brought harsh criticism from the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah, who reportedly threatened to call off negotiations with Israel over a peace treaty. “We tell the world: watch and judge what’s happening, and judge who is committing international terrorism,” Mr. Abbas said in Ramallah, on the West Bank…
An Israeli spokesman, David Baker, said that Israel was conducting “defensive measures” to protect its civilians from rocket fire against cities, which Mr. Baker called terrorism. “We have over 200,000 Israelis in range of Palestinian rockets. We cannot allow this to go on.”
Early Sunday, the United Nations Security Council issued a statement condemning the escalation of the fighting and urging Israelis and Palestinians “to immediately cease all acts of violence,” The Associated Press reported.
The statement, though not a formal resolution, also stressed that the violence “must not be allowed to deter the political process” aimed at “establishing two states — Israel and Palestine — living side by side in peace and security.”
Israeli troops began their operation just after midnight, concentrating on a hilly area near crowded Jabaliya, within two miles of the Gazan border, where many of the rockets have been launched from among the civilian population. Late Saturday, the Israeli military confirmed that two soldiers had been killed and that seven others, including an officer, had been wounded.
The Palestinian situation was something I studied closely at BYU. Three Palestinian students told me that all of their friends and relatives were committed, as were they, to drive every Jew into the sea. They said they would never live with allowing Jews to remain in Palestine.
Most of the Jews would be willing to find a compromise. Every time there is a peace treaty, Israelis give up land for peace. The Palestinians ridicule this weakness and laugh behind the backs of the Jewish people. Shortly after claiming the land given in the treaty, they begin terrorist activities again and demand more land. They have no intention of stopping until the Jews are dead or gone.

What an arrogant jerk. The US gets Israel to stop and Hamas is still planning on continuing the rocket attacks. Insane.
Hamas claims Gaza “victory” as troops pull back
GAZA (Reuters) – Israeli troops pulled out of the Gaza Strip on Monday after days of fighting that killed more than 100 people and drew an appeal from Washington to end violence and rescue peace talks with the Palestinians.
The Hamas Islamists who control the coastal enclave declared “victory” and vowed to continue firing rockets into Israel. But the Israeli government declared it had achieved its objective of deterring attacks, which have disrupted life in border towns.
At dawn, as Gaza residents streamed out of homes where they had been pinned for days by the heavy fighting, a spokesman for the Hamas armed wing said it would continue firing rockets into Israel. “The enemy has been defeated,” he said.

Most of the press has always been critical of Israel. I have learned to see past the rhetoric like you are doing to see the real story. In the last war with Lebanon, the terrorists hid rocket launchers in places like hospitals. What is Israel supposed to do? Let their people get killed? The terrorists launched way more rockets than Israel but because the Israelis were better at hitting the target they get the biggest blame. It is weird.

Well that is what happens when someone is being targeted…the accusations makes no sense what so ever and it gets people confused on who is the bad guy or not.

American Thinker has some articles about so-called history of the “Palestinines”. According to one article, There never were people called Palestinines. For a long time, the area now recognized as Israel has been part of Jordon (a British-created provision). The people living in that area, merely no more than a few thousands, have always called themselves Arabs. There were mass exodus of Arabs to this area between 1910s to 1940s when British government attempted to expand the area. However, many of them have left once their jobs are done. The only group to never leave the area is the Jews. There have always been Jewish communities throughout that region, the whole 2,000 years since Romans drove the mass of them out. Because no one were living there, Jews, with permission from UK, started to move there. That was before the first world war! It was not until there are so many of them that Arabs started to protest. UN has weaved lies into the fate of Palestinians, that they were the victims, when in reality, it was Jews who are.
Anyway, good reading here to know that Israeli absolutely are in the right in this battle to protect themselves, as they have never been the aggressors, not ever!

And I want to say here that Israeli should drive out and beyond their own boundary everyone who refuse to recognize the right of Israel to exist — those Arab refugees are not their problem; these so-called “Palestinians” literally brought all of this on themselves.

Interesting information SGS. Obviously the peace for landgrab isn’t working so what you say makes more sense. If the Palestinians are committed to killing all the Jews, how could they live in the same country?

Only if the problem was so simple. I mean, if they do ever drive out every “good” Muslims (good in a sense that they refuse to recognize the right of Israel to exist), the countries like Iran will have no hesitation to nuke Israel. However, these radical Muslims are increasingly killing more and more “good” Muslims, among with “bad” Muslims and Jews, so really, it won’t be that much of a step for them to nuke Israel anyway. Israeli should forget UN and get busy getting those hostile countries off the guard. UN will never assist Israel — it’s too much in the hand of Liberals, who too refuse to recognize the rights of Israeli.

You can see how Armageddon will definitely happen eventually. I’m convinced that nothing but the Lord can solve this problem. The hatred is so deep. They train the little children to hate the Jews as soon as they start school over there.
