Senate Bill 81

Posted by Joy Bischoff under: What's News .

Peter Anderson sent this to me. I know most of you are not from Utah but this is a problem that does or will effect all of us. I was especially disturbed by the fact that the governor’s office gave equal weight to calls from non-citizens and citizens.

Dear Citizen Friend,

Pro-illegal groups in Utah have loudly called upon Hispanics to conduct an all-out phone/mail campaign to Governor Huntsman to veto Senate Bill 81. This bill would restrict employers from hiring illegals. THE SENATE IS SCHEDULED TO VOTE ON THE BILL TODAY, then it moves to the House.

Unknown to most Americans, in January Mexico’s President Calderon instructed his 43 Mexican Consulates, including one in Salt Lake City, to more aggressively work on behalf of “rights” for Mexican nationals in the U.S. For years the Mexican Consulates have been dictating to U.S. law enforcement, Border Patrol, city, county and state governments, as to what our immigration policies should be. It is clear that many U.S. officials are heeding Mexico.

Do you want Mexico dictating immigration policy to our Utah state legislature? Do you want Governor Huntsman to listen to the wishes of NON-TAXPAYING, NON-CITIZENS – Mexican citizens – over the wishes of YOU – the law-abiding U.S. citizen? Do you want the governor to be deluged with calls from illegals – OR – from his legitimate, voting Utah constituents?

Please call/email Governor Huntsman and identify yourself as a TAXPAYING, REGISTERED VOTER, LEGAL U.S. CITIZEN, and ask him to support a crackdown on illegals by signing SB 81! Ask everyone you know to make the same call!

AS OF 8:15 THIS MONDAY MORNING THE GOVERNOR’S PHONE WAS RINGING OFF THE HOOK! His office tells me that, of course, the governor will make no distinction between calls from U.S. citizens or illegals!

Another piece of information from Peter Anderson that goes with the above topic:

Foreclosures rose 454% in January in California. A total of 19,821 properties
sold at foreclosure worth $8.06 billion, worse 98% of the auction sales went back to
the lender, which is terrible. Now get this: of 19,821 that went to auction, 13,950 were
discounted about 70%. Many are offered at 30% to 50% of original value, and they still
didn?t sell. This should concern every American regarding its long-term impact. We
forecasted 40% to 60% losses in California 3-1/2 years ago and everyone laughed at
us. They are not laughing now. This is an ongoing crisis for all Americans and it is not
avoidable. As California goes so goes the nation. The state is $40 billion in debt of
which $16 billion is in short-term deficits. They have been losing their tax base for 15
years, because most illegal aliens do not pay taxes. The state is going to collapse and
default on its debt and that could take the rest of the country with it. All of California?s
problems will radiate all over the country.

This should be front page news. These figures are terrifying. I think it is so weird that the news keeps quoting people saying things could straighten out in a month or two. Not according to the economists I’m reading.

Encourage people to learn about our Constitution and the freedoms it preserves and to have faith in the Judaeo-Christian principles upon which it is based so that when those freedoms are threatened action may be taken to protect them.

In support of our mission statement, here is our Three-Fold Purpose of the blog, In God We Trust.

1. Defining and spreading an understanding of our Constitutional freedoms for the purpose of sustaining those freedoms.

2. Identifying threats to the unity of the conservative base, and helping people to resist the pressure to compromise values as an answer to political tensions.

3. Spreading the message that the key for healing the nation is showing respect, tolerance and kindness as we accept the political differences of others.
