Resolution of Disapproval for Joe Wilson
Posted by Terrie Soberg under: What's News .
South Carolinian Representative Joe Wilson called Obama a liar during Obama’s health care speech last week. His behavior was not very becoming of a Congressman, but he apologized immediately. Instead of accepting the apology and moving on, Democrats are going to bring sanctions against him. I guess they’ve forgotten how rudely they treated President Bush when they booed him during his State of the Union speech. Here is the article from Politico.com:
House Democratic leaders will move ahead with a “resolution of disapproval” against Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) on Tuesday afternoon, following through on their threat to sanction the conservative lawmaker for heckling President Obama last week.
House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) will formally introduce the resolution Tuesday afternoon, according to Democratic insiders, and the vast majority of Democrats – as well as some Republicans – are expected to vote for it.

Note: The House voted to go ahead with this resolution. Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show that even though Joe Wilson did not deserve it, he hoped they would go ahead and approve the measure because it will come back to bite them!
