Arlen Specter Shows His True Colors

Although it is serious that the democrats have moved closer to being able to have a filibuster-proof majority, I am glad the game is over with Arlen. For years I felt as if he were a democratic agent pretending to be a republican.
According to reporters, Specter made the move to ensure his reelection next year. I also think that he believes the war is won, and like any spy in an enemy’s camp, he wants to come home and openly celebrate. In case anyone out there gets the feeling that I have had issues with good ole Arlen, I won’t disagree. He has betrayed conservatives and even moderates again and again. Good riddance.

Don’t you love how he blames is on the Republicans who have “moved so far to the right?” His comment reminds me of when someone asks for a volunteer and everyone in the line steps backwards but the one “volunteer” who is left.
