To Covet or to Hope
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: General; Rejecting Herd Mentality .

How did Lenin and Trotsky make such inroads with the Russian people to create a passionate blaze so intense as to tear down their society and forge a new government? Where did the inspiration stem from and what drove the mobs to such courage? The answer is simple and age old…they were inflamed with a spirit of covetousness to the point where their envy overcame rational thought. Today, the liberal socialist agenda is fanning those same feelings of class envy to the point where many Americans believe it to be their right to lay claim to equal wages and possessions that any other citizen has. It doesn’t seem to matter if no work, effort, or thought went into working for these privileges, rational thought gives way to what they believe is noble idealism.
Pandering to inherent laziness and envy in the name of arrogant socialist idealism is the weapon that has brought the United States to a point of danger we have not experienced since the Civil War.

For those of us who see the fallacies inherent in class envy, what should our attitude be? If we lose hope, despair will overwhelm us. To be of good cheer and refuse to sink into hopelessness is what the land of the brave is all about. We look for the good that is everywhere around us and we teach our children to separate the problems that have arisen in government and society from the heart and core of what it means to be an American. It is important to talk to them about the things that are happening around us. If we are sincere, they will hear the ring of truth like a clear bell and will be armed with knowledge that can help them detect empty, hollow promises.
If we point out the inspirational heritage we all share, if we instill a deep love for our country and our founders, we can help our loved ones escape cynicism that could inhibit feelings of patriotism. When the day comes that we all must stand and protect the stars and stripes from foreign invaders, our children will need to have a deep love for America.
How do we teach love of country in spite of the negative image of government that so many feel? Point out what America really is and explain that those things that oppose the principles that founded this nation must be separated from what we really are. Teach them that darkness eventually gives way to the light of sunrise if we do not give up. Teach them to hope.
God Bless America
