I have had enough of the hate
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Presidential Election 2012 .
I am sick and tired of the hatred that is being spewed about Mitt Romney. I have been equally supportive of Ron Paul and Mitt Romney, but the Ron Paul faction is so ugly in their attacks, and also non-factual.
*
One example is an email I received from a friend today. It had a link to a you tube video with a woman so filled with hate that it just poured out of the screen. Her first diatribe was about Mitt Romney ordering town clerks to issue marriage licenses to gays. Is that true? Absolutely. I have actually researched facts from people besides hate mongers so I know how Mitt feels about this issue. Thus, I read actual facts and will share them here:
*
Mitt Romney ordered town clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses [for gays] on May 17, 2004.
*
Why did Mitt do this? Because, being a good Republican, he believes in the rule of law. In a video by Ann Barnhardt, pictured above, she says there was no action by the supreme court of MA and that Mitt concocted this whole thing. This woman is either a complete liar or is swallowing intentional lies by others:
Same-sex marriage in the U.S. state of Massachusetts began on May 17, 2004, as a result of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts ruling in Goodridge v. Department of Public Health that it was unconstitutional under the Massachusetts constitution to allow only heterosexual couples to marry. (Ibid)
*
Not being comfortable with the ruling of the court, Romney attempted to change things in Massachussetes so this terrible ruling could be overturned. As a direct result of this situation, he did the following, spending his own money:
*
Governor Mitt Romney launched the “superslate” campaign in 2004, based on the idea that the state Republican Party could use Conservative ideals and family values as a wedge issue and gain seats, spending millions of his own dollars and personally campaigning for Republican candidates in traditionally Democratic seats. Despite his efforts, the Republican party nonetheless lost three seats in the 2004 election. Since then, many legislators have changed their views to reflect growing support for same-sex marriage among their constituents. (Ibid)
*
Mitt was unsuccessful but he did everything in his LEGAL power to overturn gay marriage in Massachusettes, and what does he get for it? Lies by the Ron Paul camp and hatred. I do not believe Ron Paul is this kind of person, but many of his supporters are. Shame on them. I tried to watch the second half of the video by Ann Barnhardt but her anger and hate and lies were so nauseating that I could not continue. I have unmasked every lie about Mitt in the past and I do not want to waste much more time on that kind of thing, so I will only do it occassionally.
