Prop 8 Persecution
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Judaeo-Christian Values Under Attack .
This is a site for those supporting the fact that this nation is founded on Judaeo-Christian values and that we must not lose sight of that fact. Also, we must do all we can to find common ground and unite with those who believe the Constitution is inspired by God and must be preserved. Some may ask why we are focusing so much on the persecution the LDS Church is receiving due to their role in encouraging people to support proposition 8 that was passed in California. The answer is simple. If people get away with persecuting an unpopular religion, then they will become emboldened and in the not to distant future, they will also get away with increasingly rabid persecution of other Christian and Jewish religions. We saw it begin with the FLDS and warned that it would spread. We must stand up for one another, mutually supporting freedom of religion or the consequences will be dire for the nation.

We will therefore, stand up and be heard on this issue and use it as a standard to declare that we will not back down in the face of hatred and bias. Those who continue to say we would not do this if we knew the price we will have to pay, do not understand that we would lay down our lives for the truth if necessary. Fear of vandalism, fear of financial loss, fear of hatred from the world mean nothing compared to our conviction that there is a God in Heaven who holds us accountable for declaring that we are on His side. We will neither deny Him, nor His teachings which on this subject have been made clear in the Bible.
We will act with love and with tolerance for opposing opinions but will lay claim to the right to our own opinion without shame for believing there is right and wrong that is unchanging. We will not be tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine because of popular opinion. The Lord said He will have a peculiar people. It is time to come out of Babylon. Two months ago, I gathered my children around me and told them that I strongly believed that the time was shortly coming that there would be a division in America. The luke warm would be spewed out of the mouth and the fence sitters would finally have to make a choice. Only when the wheat is fully grown can you tell the difference between the wheat and the tares. The difference is beginning to show. Now is the time to decide…Who is on the Lord’s side Who?
Following is an email sent to me by Sharon Anderson that I wanted to share. I just listened to a very nasty, biased national news report on the blacklist in California so this account caught my attention:
Ladies,
My friend who homeschools in California just sent this to me. Sounds
interesting. Of course, this warning
is for California, but I wonder if anyone has heard about Utah?

There is a blacklist of those who donated $1000 or more to Prop 8 being
circulated throughout the gay community, and these donors are being targeted
right now through their employers. When a person donates more than $100 to
a proposition, he must list his employer.
We are being warned that this next Fast Sunday is going to be targeted. It
is being called ‘Open Mike Sunday’ and the gays are being encouraged to go
into as many chapels as they can and speak their mind. We have everything
set up so that if there is an ‘incident’, it will be taken care of swiftly,
and safely. We’ve been warned that these days would come, we just didn’t
think it would be like this.
Only property damage has occurred to a few of our chapels. We are just
fine. I was talking to a sister yesterday, and I told her that this is
some real journal material!
