Introduction
The United States of America was organized as one nation under God. Unity was and is the key that keeps us strong, divisiveness is the disease that will bring us to our knees. The phrase “United we stand, divided we fall” may seem trite but it is the very foundation on which we stand. History shows that virtuous societies where personal freedoms are valued are usually short-lived. Why should this be? We feel the answer to this question holds the answer to our nation’s current political crisis of liberalism and general fracturing.
A wheel does not roll without a circle surrounding a hub. It is our natural instinct to connect to a center point; a hub. Dictators and kings succeed because we look to a standard to join, a leader to love. With a free society, we must look to ourselves as the source of power, lifting leaders from our ranks to represent us. Then what is the hub that holds us together? Belief in a set of timeless principles that embody our hopes and reflect our deepest values. The source of these values gives us courage to declare that there are some absolutes. We believe God is the author of those values, thus the center of the wheel. Therefore, in our daily lives and in our politics, In God We Trust.
Those who reject the principles upon which our Constitution is founded, have no center point to reach out to. No spoke that keeps the circle stable. They are then easily pulled away by a strong force intent to usurp power and authority for the good of the weak populous. Government becomes big brother upon which to lean. We chose not to unify around the nanny state power of big government, we hold to our Creator, His gift of personal freedom, and to each other.
Jesus Christ said, “if ye are not one, ye are not mine.” Order versus chaos is the bottom line to true religion and true political freedom. This does not mean we agree like programed robots, but it does mean that if common courtesy and the hand of friendship is not extended to those with different political views than ours, this nation will continue to fracture to its death.
We wish to provide a forum to speak out against political divisiveness. This does not mean we support ugly personal attacks against individuals public or private, but to call to public attention their actions and beliefs we believe are contrary to the Constitution, and also their methods of creating divisiveness. By sticking to the issues and specific examples, we can avoid becoming part of the problem of hate spewing that has become epidemic. We invite and hope that this forum will be welcoming to all religious Americans no matter which label we fall under, conservative, liberal or centrist.
The second purpose of this site is to strengthen each other in supporting a values-based society. The values that were used by our founding fathers in creating our inspired Constitution were Judaeo-Christian values. As John Adams wrote:
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”
We believe that America was raised up by the hand of God to be a beacon of freedom to the world, and those who oppose freedom know that destroying the Constitution of this country will extinguish that beacon of light. We have been trained by political correctness and secularism, to speak a new language that embodies the belief that there is no God and that life does not continue after death. The socialism that we are rapidly moving toward reflects those secular beliefs. Politeness, not political correctness is what we ask for here but that does not mean we will fear exposing the agenda of fracturing America. What we are attempting to do here will not be easy but we believe that together we can make a difference if in God we trust.
An Invitation
Please participate in our discussions. We invite our readers to help us highlight political divisiveness by sharing personal observations and/or examples from the media (main stream or alternative) that teaches us to accept the complete platform of our political party or be labeled a traitor. We listen to and learn good things from talk show hosts such as Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. We do want to get an important message out to their listeners and to them. We reject the notion that if we have a different viewpoint on any single conservative issue, then we deserve to be called names, labeled a liberal and hung up on. It is unhealthy to live in a climate of fear. Fear is the opposite of faith. The liberal media also have their methods of political correctness to attempt to corral everyone to their way of thinking. It takes awareness and courage to reject this herd mentality and think for ourselves. Honest disagreements are healthy and normal but only if we treat each other with respect.
On both sides of the spectrum, Americans are being trained to view the other as an enemy combatant in a war of words. We are not advocating a centrist view here, but rather tolerance; not the kind of politically correct tolerance that means we throw out a values-based Judaeo-Christian society, rather tolerance of respect for freedom of speech, thought, and religion.
Our mission statement and three-fold Purpose is found beneath the icon on the right side of the home page.
Help us end polarization so we can be a nation of various beliefs but determined to be united!
