I wish Thomas Jefferson could have said those words to the California Supreme Court this week. They got into a lot of mischief.

Looks like Jefferson really understood the nature of men and especially politicians. To bad quotes like that aren’t taught in school and plastered all over the place.

That is why the republican form of government is so important. Humans can get jerked this way and that so easy. We need the rule of law and those founders sure knew it. But without some morality among our judges, it is going to get very messed up.
