Wrong Border Guys

Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Constitution in Peril .

Peter Anderson sent me this article. Why do I continue to be shocked at the actions of our government regarding border security? After reading this, I realized we are being duped even more than I thought.

Bush builds border fence – in Egypt!

by Roger Hedgecock

Congress passed the Secure Fence Act two years ago requiring nearly 800 miles of double fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border, and Congress further appropriated (on a bi-partisan vote) the money to build it. Benchmarks in the Act required 670 miles of the double fence to be completed by now. To date, less than 10 miles of the double fence have been built…

No one really knows how many tunnels there are under…the border. The tunnels that have been detected are the result of old fashioned police surveillance or informants – little did we know there was a better way.

Recently, the State Department announced that the U.S. (that means you) would allocate $23 million dollars (your money) to Egypt to help build a border fence between Egypt and Gaza! Wait, there’s more … the announcement committed the assistance of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with new tunnel detecting technology to help stop Palestinian smugglers from crossing underneath that border.

Press accounts described new tunnel detection technology deployed on a UAV, or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, which in an August 2006 test successfully detected a known smuggler’s tunnel under the border near Douglas, Ariz. This technology has not been seen since then on the U.S.-Mexico border, but apparently will now be deployed to the Egypt-Gaza border.

So … desperate taxpayers, the good news is that the Bush administration is finally exhibiting the will to control a border and developing the technology to “detect and destroy” border smuggling tunnels. The bad news is – it’s on the Egypt-Gaza border and not also along our own open border with Mexico.

Obviously our President and the political elite don’t really want to secure our borders, after all that might offend our neighbor to the south. Furthermore, if they drag their feet long enough, the fence will no longer be an issue. The open borders (or no borders) of the North American Union will be an established reality. Then all that effort will have been wasted.

It is clear that those who control our government do not care what We the People want. They have their own globalist agenda to pursue and are leaving us out of the process completely or are misrepresenting what they propose. How many Americans can say SPP, NAU, and FTAA? How many know what they are? If (when?) the Security and Prosperity Partnership, North American Union, Free Trade Area of the Americas are fully implemented, Americans will wish we had been more aware of what was happening. Let’s help wake them up now before it is too late.

Challenge: Forword the above article to some people on your email list or share it with a few neighbors and ask them what they think. Do what you can to make a difference.

I support the president all I can but one issue I strongly disagree with him on is the border. I’m with Joy about being duped even more than I thought.

Sharon, I like what you wrote. Individually we are one but if we all act then who can tell what we can do? Keep the discussion going with our friends and family. Silence means they win.

Since the MSM won’t spread this info we need to. This disgusts me.

So we really did have the technology to stop this if we had the will to do it. Sharon really may have a point. We know there is a big push toward a North American Union so why use this technology or even old fashioned fence building when if feet dragging can put it off, it helps integrate the countries? They won’t do it. Neither will McCain no matter what he promises. He screamed the F word at a Texan politician last year in an argument about the border. One guess about what side McCain was on. He has strong personal feelings about it and we can be sure the nose thumbing maverick will end up doing what he wants to.

I didn’t know much about the Security and Prosperity Partnership until I started coming here but there is no doubt that there is a definite agenda and this technology would mess it up so it isn’t going to be used here. I wish I could figure out what we could do to stop this but I don’t know. I guess letting our representatives know how we feel and keeping the discussion in the public view and spreading information is all I can do unless someone out there can tell me differently.

Well said Sharon. This is the best article I’ve seen that demonstrates that the government is doing nothing to secure the border and that it isn’t trying to get out of debt. Wow.

Encourage people to learn about our Constitution and the freedoms it preserves and to have faith in the Judaeo-Christian principles upon which it is based so that when those freedoms are threatened action may be taken to protect them.

In support of our mission statement, here is our Three-Fold Purpose of the blog, In God We Trust.

1. Defining and spreading an understanding of our Constitutional freedoms for the purpose of sustaining those freedoms.

2. Identifying threats to the unity of the conservative base, and helping people to resist the pressure to compromise values as an answer to political tensions.

3. Spreading the message that the key for healing the nation is showing respect, tolerance and kindness as we accept the political differences of others.
