The Choices Before Us

Following is some good advice on preparing for the election by Will Christensen from the Independent American Party:
With the election about two weeks away, let’s take a look at some recent
history. The 1994 Congressional election was an interesting wake-up call
for the Beltway Insiders.
There were 125 new members of Congress sworn in the next January. That
means over 28% of Congressional seats changed hands in that one election.
What was the issue that canceled the overwhelming advantage that incumbents
have? The American people, led by gun owner and Second amendment groups,
had enough of restricting firearms in the hands of private citizens.
This highly emotional issue led to what has been termed the “Revolution of
1994″, which set the Washington Insiders back several years.

What highly emotional issues might influence this Congressional Election?
I can think of three; illegal immigration, fuel prices, and the Bank
Bailout. Fuel prices are slowly coming down in an effort to appease
voters. Look out for a sharp increase after the election. Illegal
immigration is not in the news now, so, unless you lost your job recently,
this issue is not uppermost in your mind. The Bailout has just taken
place, so this is the issue to use to throw the rascals out. Just remember
the many years of a disastrous energy policy, the non-enforcement of
immigration law, and the blatant open borders policy which Congress has
fostered for decades.
Most voters do not know where to find the voting record of those in the
Congress. Letters to the editor will tell voters how their
Representative and Senators voted on the Bailout. If their voting record on
the Bailout is widely enough known, many of them will be defeated in the
coming election. This is our challenge, to clean house of those in
Congress who voted for the Bailout.
These are the steps we will take for this election:
1. Check the voting record of your two Senators and your Representative at
the link below.
2. Congratulate those who voted against the Bailout.
3. Write a letter to the editor with the names of those who voted for the
Bailout. Mention that those who voted for the Bailout do not deserve to be
returned to Congress.
Send this letter to your local papers. A link for sending letters to
multiple papers in your area is listed below. A sample letter to the
editor is written below.
Publicizing our “Representatives” voting record will go a long way toward
bringing Congress under control.
Due to the importance of this election and the choices which will be made
both in Congress and on the State level, we are requesting that you join
with us in a day of thanksgiving and prayer on the weekend of November 1st
and 2nd.
Pray that our citizens may be guided in their choices this election.
God Bless America,
Will Christensen
