Border Patrol, Justice Department, Drug Smuggling, Fine

This is a scary show of how the justice system can be bent to the will of individuals. Is a border patrol agent supposed to feel safe doing his job or should he feel nervous about making arrests? Why is it that God has been torn from the walls of our government buildings but politics has free run with the justice system?

Government fines jailed Border Patrol agent’s family

After successfully winning a two-year prison sentence against U.S. Border Patrol Agent Jesus E. Diaz Jr., the Justice Department is now trying to collect a $6,870 fine from his wife, saying it should be paid “immediately” — even though the judge signaled she would have a grace period.

In a notice sent last week the Justice Department said the fines were imposed by the court that found Agent Diaz guilty and sentenced him to prison for improperly restraining a 15-year-old suspected of drug smuggling.

“We strongly urge you to pay this debt immediate,” said the notice, which was received by Diana Diaz, who is also a Border Patrol agent.

Glenn Beck predicted on his radio show this morning at 9:08 am CST that Chicago will be the site of the 2016 Olympics. In his opinion, there is no way Obama and his wife would show up in Copenhagen and stand there while Brazil was announced and therefore Obama’s friends in high places has been able to pull off another one. If not, this will be a public relations nightmare.

We’ll see soon enough.

Update:

Chicago is first one out of the running.

Here is a transcript of Stu and Glenn’s exchange on the radio after hearing the results:

STU: There is news coming from over there in Copenhagen.

GLENN: Ya, sure.

STU: Ya, sure. The first round of voting is up for the Olympic games, and the first

GLENN: Wait for it! Wait for it! Enjoy this. Savor this moment.

STU: And the first city to be eliminated is… Chicago. Yes, our president flew all the way over there to fail

GLENN: Not one plane. Just in one plane?

STU: No. Two planes. We need more breaking news. There we go. Two planes.

GLENN: Two planes.

STU: His wife Oprah Winfrey, all the jet fuel needed to lift them.

GLENN: All the massive amounts of corruption that was promised.

STU: All the greenhouse gas emissions, all the publicity, all the excitement.

GLENN: For nothing.

STU: For as the kids call it, an epic fail.

GLENN: Hang on just a second. Stu, can you still hear me?

STU: I can can you still see me?

GLENN: I can see you, yes.

STU: And hear me?

GLENN: I can hear you and see you through the glass. Now let me ask you this, Stu.

STU: Yes, Glenn.

GLENN: Are you saying that the president failed?

STU: Glenn, there is no honest observer who could disagree with that statement.

GLENN: Let me ask you this, Stu: In his failure to bring the Olympic games, didn’t Putin go over and get the Olympic games?

STU: Yes, he did, Glenn.

GLENN: Wasn’t Tony Blair the first to go over and get the Olympic games?

STU: I believe you’re correct on that, Glenn.

GLENN: So this would make the is it possible that this is the first head of state of any major country that has ever gone over and made the pitch in person and then failed?

STU: I don’t know if that’s true, but I’m choosing to believe it, Glenn.

GLENN: We can always hope.

STU: And Glenn, by the way, I don’t know if you’re noticing this. This is the first absolute undisputable proof of Rush’s comment being true: I hope he fails because we’re going to need the money. Well, he’s failed and guaranteed we’ve saved money by his failure.

GLENN: Unbelievable.

STU: So it’s actually, it’s proven to be true.

GLENN: Do you notice there in Daley plaza they have a sign up on one of the buildings: Imagine.

STU: Imagine failure, Glenn.

GLENN: No, no. It says

STU: You don’t need to imagine it anymore. It’s here.

GLENN: It says Chicago 2016, imagine. And that’s exactly what they’re going to have to do. In 2016 they’ll stand around and imagine what it would have been like to have the Olympics in Chicago.

STU: Welcome to the 2016 imaginary games.

GLENN: Unbelievable.

STU: Seriously that is a you know, we sat here

GLENN: An epic failure, epic failure.

STU: Why

GLENN: Epic failure.

STU: Why did he do this? This is terrible PR.

GLENN: Can I tell you something? Right now oh, my gosh. Chicago received the least votes in the first round.

STU: Yeah, it was eliminated.

GLENN: Yeah, urgent wire here.

STU: Tokyo is now out by the way as well. Tokyo is out. Madrid or Rio.

GLENN: What are they doing? How are they possibly making this? The only one that you could have done on social justice really was Tokyo.

STU: I think Rio, though, because there’s never been an Olympic games south of Mexico City, I believe. So I mean, the entire hemisphere is being ignored.

GLENN: Well, that’s a pretty big deal.

STU: That is a big deal.

GLENN: And they’re just good looking down in Rio. You know what I mean?

STU: There you go. But Glenn, seriously like how isn’t this president supposed to be the guy who can talk Ahmadinejad out of a nuclear program?

GLENN: Oh, yeah. They love him.

STU: If he can’t get

GLENN: He just gave a speech yesterday and he said, look, it’s important. I am the guy I am here to bring the whole world together. I am here to I can I got the whole world in my hand, I got the whole wide world in my hand, I got the whole wide world in my hand, I got… what? Oh, crap.

STU: I have nothing.

GLENN: I’ve got nothing in my hand.

STU: I’ve got two jets that need to fly back in my hand. I’ve got

GLENN: I said yesterday let me tell you something. Somebody right now is about to receive a phone call that will change their life. Somebody, whoever made the decision that said, yes, Mr. President, you should fly the first lady over and then you should join them on the day, so you’re in Copenhagen, ya, sure, when this story breaks. There’s no way to escape it because you can’t be, like, meeting with a general or something. You’re going to be in Copenhagen when they announce this. That person, whoever made that, is about, if they haven’t already, is about to receive this phone call (making phone noises). “Hello?” “Yeah, pack the stuff. Guess who’s got a new job at the Center for American Progress.”

STU: (Laughing).

GLENN: Guarantee you someone is going to be transferred to the Center for American Progress. Which is weird because it’s almost like Siberia.

STU: Yeah, it is.

GLENN: You just go into Siberia and you’re just there. You still play a role, but you’ve brought shame to our fearless leader. Your family, like in the middle of the night, like Van Jones, I don’t even know. Is this family? Does his family even know where he is now? Do they just come and get him in the middle of the night and leave his family going, “Where did Daddy go?” “Oh, he went to the Center for American Progress. Shhh, quiet.” I’m just sayin’. It’s just a question. Just a question.

STU: It’s time to turn in the Blackberry.

GLENN: May I ask no, no, the Blackberry is the one connected to the Center for American Progress.

STU: Center for American Progress, yeah, that’s a good point.

GLENN: May I ask this question: Is it possible that the president ever finds himself transferred to the Center For American Progress?

STU: I don’t know.

GLENN: We’re not really operating constitutionally now anyway. Could we wake up appeared ever just see a headline that says, “President transferred to the Center for American Progress. New president, John Podesta.

STU: No. Can George Soros just be implemented as king above all of them? That would make things a lot easier.

GLENN: You conspiracy theorist, what evidence do you have that George Soros is involved in any of this? So we have to I guess figure out which city was more corrupt and had bigger bribes to the IOC than Chicago. That’s saying something.

STU: Well

GLENN: When we can be outbribed, that’s

STU: The problem is that that whole corruption thing from Chicago is so long gone, a lot of these bids and stuff happened back when Rod Blagojevich was governor and he would never be involved in anything.

GLENN: And Mayor Daley, only 41 in his administration have

STU: 47, Glenn, 47.

GLENN: Only 47 have gone to jail for corruption.

STU: So

GLENN: Not 48.

STU: No.

GLENN: Not 50. Only 47.

STU: 50 would be a problem. 47’s

GLENN: Well, it depends on how you define “Problem.” So there it is. Heart breaking news. Chicago didn’t get the Olympics.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.

From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.

From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938

From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.-

China established gun control in 1935.

From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated-

Guatemala established gun control in 1964.

From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970.

From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956..

From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.-

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

1: Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.

2: Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent..

3: Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns! While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety as decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we’re ’subjects’.

During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED! If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends. The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense.

The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN!

SWITZERLAND’S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE.

SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!! IT’S A NO BRAINER! DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAXDOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.

As North Korea has been saber rattling the last few weeks, I haven’t felt too concerned for the near future because they seem to lack the ability to back up their words. However, I do want to make clear that the time could come when North Korea becomes a serious threat. I have read some writings of Kim Jong Il, the president, and was amazed at his obviously extreme mental illness. We do seem to have the capability of knocking down anything they send up right now so hopefully there is no reason to panic. My biggest concern would be the day they could send a nuclear warhead up high enough to create an EMP blast that would shut down everything electronic. That would bring chaos. So, without panicking, we do need to keep our eye on this lunatic.

By NANCY ZUCKERBROD
The Associated Press

LONDON — President Barack Obama reiterated that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy _ provided it takes steps to prove its aspirations are peaceful.

(It is completely unreasonable to believe that the West hating Iranian leadership would allow intensive inspections in the dozens of facilities throughout the country. We know from past experience how easy it is to hide military secrets.)

In a BBC interview broadcast Tuesday, Obama also restated plans to pursue direct diplomacy with Tehran to encourage it to set aside any ambitions for nuclear weapons it might harbor.

Iran has insisted its nuclear program is aimed at generating electricity. But the U.S. and other Western governments accuse Tehran of seeking atomic weapons.

(Apparently, the president did not hear about Ahmadinejad’s rant in September of 2006 at the U.N. where he discussed the return of the twelfth Imam. Then in November, he gave a speech explaining that his revolution would pave the way for the return of the Imam. The Shi-ite belief is that there will be a great revolutionary war that will bring the return and usher in an era of peace for Muslims.)

“Without going into specifics, what I do believe is that Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations. On the other hand, the international community has a very real interest in preventing a nuclear arms race in the region,” Obama said.

The comments echo remarks Obama made in Prague last month in which he said his administration would “support Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy with rigorous inspections” if Iran proves it is no longer a nuclear threat.

(How can we trust Ahmadinejad when he has publicly stated that Israel should be wiped off the map, and he has predicted their destruction? He is a madman.)

The president has indicated a willingness to seek deeper international sanctions against Tehran if it does not respond positively to U.S. attempts to open negotiations on its nuclear program. Obama has said Tehran has until the end of the year to show it wants to engage.

“Although I don’t want to put artificial time tables on that process, we do want to make sure that, by the end of this year, we’ve actually seen a serious process move forward. And I think that we can measure whether or not the Iranians are serious,” Obama said.

Obama’s interview offered a preview of a speech he is to deliver in Egypt this week, saying he hoped the address would warm relations between Americans and Muslims abroad.

“What we want to do is open a dialogue,” Obama told the BBC. “You know, there are misapprehensions about the West, on the part of the Muslim world. And, obviously, there are some big misapprehensions about the Muslim world when it comes to those of us in the West.”

(Actually, Mr. President, there are huge misapprehensions about the West on the part of the Muslim world, and some misapprehensions about the Muslim world by the West.)

Obama leaves Tuesday evening on a trip to Egypt and Saudi Arabia aimed at reaching out to the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims. He is due to make his speech in Cairo on Thursday.

(Muslims respect a position of power and confidence. The apologetic weakness shown by our president puts us in a dangerous position, especially since he is not treating our traditional allies warmly which also weakens our place in the world.)

I found this article on Newsmax.com:

In what’s been called a “shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate,” President Barack Obama bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia at the Group of 20 summit meeting in London.

“The bow was an extraordinary protocol violation,” The Washington Times observed in an editorial on Tuesday.

“Such an act is a traditional obeisance befitting a king’s subjects, not his peer. There is no precedent for U.S. presidents bowing to Saudi or any other royals,” the editorial said.

Obama offered King Abdullah a deep and prolonged bow from the waist when he met him at the summit, which brought together the leaders of the world’s largest economies on April 2.

The story about Obama’s unusual gesture has gotten scant media coverage in the United States, but a Spanish TV broadcast was picked up on blogs and has created an Internet stir.

“No Americans of any station are required to bow to royalty,” the Times stated. “It is one of the pillars of American exceptionalism that our country rejected traditional caste divisions.”

The Times editorial also opined that Obama’s bow “to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques does not help his image with those who believe he is secretly a Muslim, and why he chose to bow only to the Saudi king and not to any other royal remains unexplained.”

For instance, Obama did not bow to Queen Elizabeth when he first met her last week in London. Subjects of the crown may bow to the monarch but are not required to do so.

First lady Michelle Obama also broke protocol during the Obamas’ trip abroad when she put her hand on the queen’s back. The move caused a bit of tempest in the British press, but was quelled when the queen put her hand on Michelle in what a Buckingham Palace spokesman described as a “mutual and spontaneous display of affection and appreciation.”
