Modern Marriage

Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Humor; Judaeo-Christian Values Under Attack .

Sharon Anderson sent this to me and I couldn’t resist.

City Hall in San Francisco

( A scene at City Hall in San Francisco )

“Next.”

“Good morning. We want to apply for a marriage license.”

“Names?”

“Tim and Jim Jones.”

“Jones? Are you related? I see a resemblance.”

“Yes, we’re brothers.”

“Brothers? You can’t get married.”

“Why not? Aren’t you giving marriage licenses to same gender couples?”

“Yes, thousands. But we haven’t had any siblings. That’s incest!”

“Incest?” No, we are not gay.”

“Not gay? Then why do you want to get married?”

“For the financial benefits, of course. And we do love each other.
Besides, we don’t have any other prospects.”

“But we’re issuing marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples who’ve been
denied equal protection under the law. If you are not gay, you can get
married to a woman.”

“Wait a minute. A gay man has the same right to marry a woman as I have.
But just because I’m straight doesn’t mean I want to marry a woman. I want
to marry Jim.”

“And I want to marry Tim, Are you going to discriminate against us just
because we are not gay?”

“All right, all right. I’ll give you your license. Next.”

“Hi. We are here to get married.”

“Names?”

“John Smith, Jane James, Robert Green, and June Johnson.”

“Who wants to marry whom?”

“We all want to marry each other.”

“But there are four of you!”

“That’s right. You see, we’re all bisexual. I love Jane and Robert, Jane
loves me and June, June loves Robert and Jane, and Robert loves June and
me. All of us getting married together is the only way that we can express
our sexual preferences in a marital relationship.”

“But we’ve only been granting licenses to gay and lesbian couples.”

“So you’re discriminating against bisexuals!”

“No, it’s just that, well, the traditional idea of marriage is that it’s
just for couples.”

“Since when are you standing on tradition?”

“Well, I mean, you have to draw the line somewhere.”

“Who says? There’s no logical reason to limit marriage to couples. The more
the better. Besides, we demand our rights! The mayor says the constitution
guarantees equal protection under the law. Give us a marriage license!”

“All right, all right. Next.”

“Hello, I’d like a marriage license..”

“In what names?”

“David Deets.”

“And the other man?”

“That’s all. I want to marry myself.”

“Marry yourself? What do you mean?”

“Well, my psychiatrist says I have a dual personality, so I want to marry
the two together. Maybe I can file a joint income-tax return.”

“That does it! I quit!! You people are making a mockery of marriage!!”

I just posted an article on news and comments about this subject. Seriously, the gay community seems to be getting so fanatical it’s scary.

http://www.boycottmcdonalds.com/default.aspx Check it out. This video clip is only about 60 seconds. (Rather than remaining neutral,McDonald is suporting gays and lesbians and says those who support same sex marriage are guilty of hate.)

Does America know that they are a minority? They are loud, obnoxious (proud), and dedicated. Does this mean that they can get whatever they want? They can from McDonalds.

Sharon, I signed the petition. For me it was easy cause I hate McDonalds anyway. I like Carl’s Jr. so I hope they don’t do the same thing.

I have a problem with the whole thing. Quite frankly, to me, marriage is a God thing not a government thing. When government issues a license, it not only gets the income from the fee, but it becomes a third party to your union.

The government first stuck it nose into this matter in the USA when people were marring outside their race. Check out Black’s Law Dictionary. (see Miscegenation, Marriage License)

It is interessting that a few states still recognize common law marriages but some churches and governments will not allow you to marry you unless you have a license issued by the state. When the license from the state makes them a party to marriage, it also gives justification to child protective services for their (often ungodly) control over children and families.

Where will it end? Next, some will want to adopt or marry their pets for the tax benefits and inheritance.

What has happened to honor, self respect, covenants, obeying God and just keeping one’s word?

As a final thought, California is in such financial straits now that any extra tax they can get helps them, and so they continue their maddness.

I can’t decide which state I think is crazier, California or Massachusetts.

T.Fan, speaking of Massachusetts, do you know their legislative have put on top of their list for their next session the vote to repeal of 1913 law that Romney put into force to prevent out of state same-sex marriages? It is very likely they will pass it, and of course, their governor will sign the bill. The state is posed to be a same-sex marriage Nevada like California now is.

I’ve read about the gay public sex on beaches in MA so I am not surprised at anything that comes out of there. People don’t learn from history.

Our Mission Statement

Encourage people to learn about our Constitution and the freedoms it preserves and to have faith in the Judaeo-Christian principles upon which it is based so that when those freedoms are threatened action may be taken to protect them.

In support of our mission statement, here is our Three-Fold Purpose of the blog, In God We Trust.

1. Defining and spreading an understanding of our Constitutional freedoms for the purpose of sustaining those freedoms.

2. Identifying threats to the unity of the conservative base, and helping people to resist the pressure to compromise values as an answer to political tensions.

3. Spreading the message that the key for healing the nation is showing respect, tolerance and kindness as we accept the political differences of others.
