Patriotism is a Cause?

This would qualify as a joke if it were false. As it is, this is disgusting and I am more than disappointed that my Patriotism is now a cause. Patriotism should be taught in public schools and at home not hidden. They should display it openly not forbid it. Thank you Jerry Hurst for this important news flash.
Yesterday, the brass at ABC News issued orders forbidding reporters to wear lapel pin American flags or other patriotic insignia. Their reasoning was that ABC should remain neutral about “causes”.
Since when is support for preventing our death & destruction some sort of a cause? Since when is patriotism
to be discouraged. I urge you to boycott ABC and its sponsors and affiliates.
What Will ABC do when America reaps in Gold Medals in the up coming Olympics when it is time to solute Old Glory? Maybe they will go to commercial since their allegiance is to advertising dollars.

Wow, once again my moniker fits how I’m feeling with this kind of news. Why do they want us to be ashamed of our culture and now even our patriotism? It doesn’t make sense. Our nation would fall apart without us loving her and pulling together.

What’s ABC? No seriously, I mean, I have to think hard which channel ABC is here. We do have it, but it’s just that I rarely watch TV. There is not much good on it nowadays, so why waste your time watching, when you could be tucked up with your sweetheart, chatting away the night. Yeah, it’s a date for me almost every night, and it’s because we do not watch TV. So, again, I’m not quite sure which channel ABC is here. And I’m glad for it. But then, I cannot do much “boycotting” ABC. It’d be nice to write a letter to the executive managers, telling them they are wasting my time.

This is so over the top. I thought I knew how bad it was getting with the libs but this is beyond what I expected. I hate ABC news anyway, cheesy and insipid. This makes me want to wear a flag pin all the time.

So what’s going to happen to Independence day? I mean it is a whole day of celebrating being apart of this country..like Patriotism on steroids… songs are devoted to it, the whole country closes down, its the one night a year the everyone gets to act like they work for disneyland and make their own fireworks shows!
We are supposed to forget the years of oppression (not the kind we suffer now), the old school kind where our forefathers fought for the basic freedoms of speech, religion, and the original pursuit of happiness! If they crazies that run our country think i am going to forget all of that and drop my “cause” of freedom they have another thing coming to them!
