The Complete De-gendering of Society
Posted by Terrie Soberg under: Constitution in Peril; Judaeo-Christian Values Under Attack; What's News .
The following article was included in yesterday’s Family Leader Newsletter along with Maggie Gallagher’s article that Joy posted yesterday. They go hand in hand with Joy’s previous post, “Losing the Battle.” Homosexuality was the reason for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, the final straw before Noah and the Flood, and some even say the reason Atlantis was destroyed. The cup of the Lord’s wrath is filling so rapidly. We must have hope in Christ and do all that we can to defend our Constitution and stand up for what we know is right, but whew…it’s sure getting more difficult!
The Complete De-gendering of Society
In a recent column Jennifer Roback Morse noted that California has had domestic partnerships for a long time, which grant substantially the same rights as marriage. Those who think that domestic partnerships are a compromise should know that instead they are a slippery slope toward same-sex marriage. The court held that granting the same rights to married partners and domestic partnerships and calling them by different names could not be upheld under the equal protection clause of the constitution.Morse said, “Can we be confident that even same sex marriage is the ultimate goal? I think the honest answer is no. The freight train of same sex marriage will not stop at the station called simple “equality.” The legal equivalence o f same sex couples with opposite sex couples means that marriage will no longer be society’s most reliable method of attaching mothers and fathers to their children and to each other. Marriage will become a gender-neutral creation of the state, which actively detaches children from at least one of their parents. Parentage will not flow automatically from the marital union, but will have to be assigned by the state. The final stop on this train is the complete de-gendering of society, along with the continual incursion of the state into civil society.
The state must hold that mothers and fathers are completely interchangeable. Biological parents married to each other become officially equivalent to one parent plus their lover. The state will be indifferent as to whether children have any connection with their biological parents.
The experiences of other countries with same sex marriage illustrate that this is no mere expansion of an existing institution. In Spain, the words “mother” and “father” were removed from birth certificates in favor of ‘Progenitor A’ and ‘Progenitor B’. Courts in Canada have assigned parental rights to three adults. Similar experiences from Massachusetts and the UK leave no doubt that the state will have to continually intervene to prop up same sex marriage, and the gender-oblivious society that comes along with it. Sexual orientation will be viewed as immutable, with sex itself as a mere social construct.
“As Douglas Farrow, a Canadian academic asks in his book, A Nation of Bastards, is this really what we intended to do?
“Gays and lesbians have as much political power in California as in any state in America. If civil unions could have ever been a viable political compromise position, it would have been here. Any candidate who favors civil unions, is really saying that he favors the contin ual progress of this train toward the destination of same sex marriage, and perhaps even beyond to the ultimate radical goal of a completely non-gendered society.”

I really didn’t know it was as bad as this. Taking out the words mother and father and putting in progenitor gives me the creeps.

Creepy is right. That train is rolling so fast it is going to get out of control. The last sentence truly scares me. It kind of feels like people who stand up against the homosexual agenda will be treated like the Nazis treated the Jews. Fanaticism is never pretty.

One of the leading family advocary organizations is called United Families International. They are very active in defending the families on state, national and international levels. It is well-respected at the UN conferences and throughout the world. They do have some good reading materials, covering various issues related to families, including the homosexuality as discussed here. This Guide (PDF file) is worthy your time if you want to understand the sexual orientation, but you may want to read it in part, as it is long. It has two sections entitled, “Myths vs Reality” and “Fast Facts and Commentary”. Myths part is essentially a summary of the facts in “Fast Facts and Commentary” which have some more meat of the researches.
The guide is all based upon solid science from both sides (from pro-gay and pro-family resources). It covers in depth the issues experienced by the countries that permit same-sex marriage. Some of examples of myths are:
“Homosexual behavior is innate. Homosexuality is what a person is”
“If two people love each other, they should be allowed to marry”
“Allowing homosexuals to marry does not harm or negatively impact anyone”
“Homosexual partners can be great parents and should be allowed to adopt children”
“The reason the homosexual community has high rates of promiscuity is because they are denied the right to marry. Granting homosexual men the right to marry will provide the motivation for them to form stable monogamous relationships”
“What people do ‘in the privacy of their own bedrooms’ is not anyone else’s business”
“The mental and emotional problems that homosexuals experience are due to the straight community’s persecution and intolerance of their lifestyle.”

Thanks for the great info, SGS. When I took a psychology class years ago, the professor was very liberal and did not like having to admit it when I asked about innate homosexual behavior, but she had to confess that there was no evidence that people were born homosexual. Lately there has been a much bigger push towards that idea but still no hard evidence.

I heard that even the gay people that got married in Massachusettes have a high rate of breaking up. So I don’t think they are promiscuous because they can’t marry, I think it is the lifestyle.

Pickles, speaking of same-sex marriage, Canada passed the law allowing this about the same time as Massachusetts. I cannot recall where, but I read an article that after about 5,000 marriage licenses were filed by homosexuals the first year, it has dropped down to partically zero ever since. I believe it is their fourth or fifth year now. Massachusetts is seeing the same thing now — they have gone from thousands the first year down to just handful. It is not about the marriage as much as it is about the social acceptance of their highly dangerous behaviors. Speaking of danger, you do know that smoking would take away 4 to 6 years of your life? With homosexual style, it has been shown that 12 to 16 years are taken away from your life. Yes, homosexuality is much more dangerous than smoking! Perhaps I should google for those two articles.
