I am very grateful for the honor and privilege of being a Mother. And for the fond memories I recount now on this day as I consider all the “history” in my life…all the history that gives me a reason to celebrate my joy. I wish happiness to all those who share the unique blessing called Motherhood. It is sometimes hard to recollect those tiny hands and feet…yet it is a marvel to watch from a Mother’s perspective, the paths those feet have grown into pursuing…and the service those hands have chosen to lend. As I pause to reflect…I smile and shed happy tears…

If China follows its usual practice they will just reverse engineer some planes and tool up to start mass producing them. I predict their new company will start producing planes sooner than anyone predicts. Then they will start exporting them at half the price of Boeing or Airbus.

China establishes a homegrown company to make passenger jumbo jets
BEIJING (AP) — China has established a homegrown company to make passenger jumbo jets, state media reported Sunday — a step forward in the country’s quest to become less dependent on Boeing and Airbus.
China Commercial Aircraft Co. was established in Shanghai with registered capital of 19 billion yuan $2.7 billion, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
It said the central government and the Shanghai government are among the major shareholders, as are China’s two main aircraft manufacturing and servicing companies, China Aviation Industry Corp. I and China Aviation Industry Corp. II, which were split off from state-owned China Aviation Industry Corp. in 1999.
Europe’s Airbus has forecast that China’s domestic market will increase fivefold by 2026. Airbus and Chicago-based rival Boeing dominate the market for commercial airplanes carrying 100 or more people.
Xinhua said Commercial Aircraft Co. will be able to make planes with more than 150 seats.

Mitt Doesn’t Cry Over Lost Loans

Losing hurts, but it’s a lot less painful when you’re Mitt Romney. We hear that the former GOP presidential candidate, who loaned his campaign $35 million, isn’t even trying to recoup his loss. The reason: He’s focused on raising money for Sen. John McCain and other Republicans. “Governor Romney has no plans either now or in the future to raise money so that he can retire his debt,” says spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom. It helps, of course, that Romney entered the race after amassing a fortune of at least $200 million. And even if he had planned to eventually recoup the money after Election Day, he can thank McCain for messing that up: There is a provision in the McCain-Feingold campaign reform act that says fundraisers to pay off debts must end on Election Day, effectively the convention.
