The Race Card Becoming Razor Sharp
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: What's News .
I read a lot of the comments people wrote after this article. Have I told all of you lately how much I appreciate your sanity, your kindness, your reasonableness? It shakes me up to read the pure venom that is out there in our country. I have no prejudice towards blacks, never have. But I don’t believe in giving people a free pass because of their race either. We should be able to discuss realities without being called a racist. The rule has become, ‘hands off Obama’ so we are not called racist. How does one run an election this way?
Ferraro steps down
After defending herself in a day-long media tour, Geraldine Ferraro has stepped down from her (ceremonial) post on Clinton’s finance committee, CNN is reporting.
The move comes after Ferraro first suggested that Obama owed his success in the presidential contest to his race, and then defended her comment in combative terms, accusing Obama of tarring foes as racist, and saying she was being attacked because she is white.
UPDATE: Ferraro’s note to Hillary:
Dear Hillary –
I am stepping down from your finance committee so I can speak for myself and you can continue to speak for yourself about what is at stake in this campaign.
The Obama campaign is attacking me to hurt you.
I won’t let that happen.
Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do to make this a better world for my children and grandchildren.
You have my deep admiration and respect.
Gerry

Good timing to put this up right after the political correctness video. The water is boiling out there. I feel sorry for this woman. Maybe she is very liberal but she is still an American and I don’t like seeing anybody being treated the way she is. The media is crucifying her. They aren’t going to let anybody touch their golden boy. Oops, was that racist? I used a color word.

Obama advisors are demanding that Gerry denounce her words. Is there still a first amendment? Does anyone remember all the comments about Hillary getting the women’s vote? What is the difference? This is pure insanity. Pretty soon we’ll have the thought police in place too. Don’t fool yourself that the libs will place limits on themselves about how far they will go to force their beliefs on us. Their religion of humanism doesn’t allow other people to believe differently just like the Muslim religion. Both groups, with a few exceptions, hate the traditional American culture.

They can demand all they want but nobody is going to force Ferraro to apologize or change her opinion. I can’t see that kind of thing happening here. Sure there are a lot of problems there the first amendment still works pretty well.

Realist, yeah this is still a good place to live but all the signs are around us that our rights are under attack. People are scared to make use of the first amendment if they are afraid of torture which is one of the reasons we shouldn’t have torture. But I am watching so many people being tazed by police just as a compliance tool. If people are scared they don’t have a lot of freedoms.

I for one agree that if Obama weren’t half black he wouldn’t have the support he has. Does that make me a racist or something? He is clearly not experienced by any stretch. Can anyone think a less experienced politician winning the presidency? Does anyone come close? That is not a rhetorical question. I would really like to know.
On the other hand I think Hillary has the success that she has despite being a woman. I don’t believe much in the glass ceiling by and large, but I do when it comes to politics in the executive. In fact Hillary is handicapped by the fact that she, being a woman is supposed to be soft and gentle. People don’t want soft leaders, they want tough ones. But when she gets tough people think she is a B*&@. Just a casual observation, I amy be wrong about that one.

Cave, I totally agree with your first paragraph. I don’t agree with all of the second paragraph because I have read a couple of well documented books on the Clintons. Their involvement in the drug business while in Arkansas is unquestionable when one studies the preponderance of the evidence. The associated deaths with that, the underhanded dealings with Hillary’s participation in the Rose Law Firm, and so many more things tell me she is very evil. One of the books I read was written by a liberal reporter who sincerely believes in socialism and felt betrayed by the Clintons so he dug deep and absolutely documented hard evidence. He said they are out for themselves after all and not for the cause.
