Inch by Inch Marriage is Lost

I received this in an email from Family Leader:
Those who stand up to protect marriage as the union of one woman and one man are sometimes slower to oppose civil unions. Isn’t the support of civil unions for same-sex couples just a comfortable, compromise? No.
Civil unions are a slippery slope to same-sex marriage. Yesterday’s report from the New Jersey Civil Union Review Commission, marking the one-year anniversary of civil unions in New Jersey, demonstrates why. Issued by a committee that is a stacked deck of same-sex advocates, the report claims that the 2,329 gay couples who applied for civil unions still experience a “second-class status” since their sexual relationship is not called marriage. They note that they are not given the benefits of marriage from the federal government and that many employers do not want to recognize their unions and give the same benefits they would to the married.
Garden State Equality, a homosexual rights group, has created a CivilUnionsDon’tWork.com web site that is designed to show the inadequacies of civil unions and push toward marriage. Though the New Jersey commission stopped short of recommending same-sex marriage, Gov. Jon Corzine has already indicated he would sign such a bill into law. Homosexual activists want marriage, the passage of civil unions is just a stepping stone.

This slaps me in the face everywhere I turn in Boston. I don’t hate these people but I wish they wouldn’t shove it in my face all the time. They are the ones who say what happens in the bedroom should be private but they are the ones who don’t keep it private. I’m too old for this bull.

I am with you Hank. They can get married if they want. But that is not good enough for them. They want the government to force us to call it marriage.
One problem is that Romney’s record was lied about concerning civil unions. They say he pushed for them, but he actually fought against them. When the Supreme CT of Mass. forced gay marriage on the citizens, only then did Romney propose civil unions as a downgrade compromise.. But he plainly stated that he was opposed to both. The MSM and McCain and Huckabee won that battle.
One thing I think we all should NEVER DO. Don’t ever refer to a gay person’s sexual partner as a spouse or anything close.
Stand up for marriage in ever place and don’t compromise to avoid confrontation or to save face.
Never attend a homosexual “wedding” or “marriage” or refer to it as such. Find a facsimile like ceremony.
Never put the least verbal stamp of approval on it and then complain that politicians don’t have courage. If you will not take the heat, don’t expect others to.

I think we have only seen the beginning of this and it is going to become really nasty and a real problem for Christians who don’t give in to homosexuality as being okay.
