The New Messiah
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Judaeo-Christian Values Under Attack; Presidential Election 2008 .
I didn’t want to blog any more today because we already have too much up for you to read, but I couldn’t help myself. Many of us having a growing concern over the Obama phenomena which seems to be about emotionalism and lacks substance. This article is disturbing and I would recomment using the link and reading the whole thing.
Is Obama a (or the) Messiah?
Is Obama the Messiah? People are asking these days and it’s not so hard to understand why: the desperate throngs, the tears, the great awakening of a slumbering demographic. All that larger symbolism.
The emotional landscape of many American voters is calamitous of late — frightened by our Babylonian war, unhappy with our President and depressed by the cleansing crush of the credit crunch — so it’s not surprising that the coming presidential election would take on a certain biblical coloring.
The Messiah question is a loud one coming from all corners. Even a blogger for Mother Jones, the hot heart of the far left, worries that the Obama-passion will be used for nefarious purposes by right-wingers, he himself writes “Barack Obama has a messiah complex and no one will convince me otherwise.”
The salty 62-year old Chris Matthews of MSNBC puts the phenomenon of Obama on the good book scale, telling the NY Observer that “I’ve been following politics since I was about 5. I’ve never seen anything like this. This is bigger than Kennedy. [Obama] comes along, and he seems to have the answers. This is the New Testament. This is surprising.”

What is really scary is reading Chuck’s blog and then reading this. What is wrong with people? I guess I could have asked that in Germany in 1930s too.

There was a story about a reporter going to listen to Hitler. The man was totally aware of how evil the man was. He was surprised and greatly disturbed as he listened to the speech, to find himself struggling not to become mesmerized by Hitler, even knowing what he was. We keep saying that no one here is saying Obama is evil like Hitler. That could actually be worse in some ways. A man who believes he is doing the right thing by bringing in socialism and has the gift of mass hypnosis in effect, could do incredible damage.

Oh…bomb…ah…I do not think you are the bomb but I think you are bringing a cultural bomb to blow up our Constitution. Maybe I should leave this kind of thing to Stumpy but I couldn’t resist.

The country will not do better unless the people start caring again. I don’t know why you can’t see how valuable that is. If everyone just gives up then nothing good can happen. Obama is the only person who can help people not give up.

That is what I’m afraid of. Obama will sweep all those weeping, fawning followers right into socialism. Change isn’t always good. Some things need changing but not our foundation.

Resident Liberal, that is exactly the sentiment of the family that lived across the street from the Levine family in Berlin in 1938. They took comfort in the words of Obam.. I mean Hitler. Thing is, the Levine family did not live across from them for long.
Remember how bad the German economy was? They had lost all pride in their country. They were a beaten, discouraged people. Hitler had the answers and was “the only person who can help people not give up.” (Quoted from Resident Liberal).
Those who do not learn from history are…

Hitler wasn’t the answer and neither is Obama. Read this well researched article on his communist background. (btw Chuck, Way to turn his words around on Resident Liberal.)

Wow Jesse. The article from your link http://www.aim.org/aim-column/obamas-communist-mentor/ is amazing. Can this be posted on this site? Great job, and thanks to Stephen! This, however, makes me more confused - as I thought that Obama was honest, but misguided. Now I see that he IS guided, just by the wrong people!

Hey my link didn’t work. Thanks for reposting it Chuck. Yeah I think this is very very important so maybe the moderators could put this up. Or just part of it since it is so long.

Jesse,
If you put any symbols immediately adjacent to your link, it messes it up. put a space before and after.
