Obama Leading in Wis., McCain Wins

Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Presidential Election 2008 .

WASHINGTON (AP) - Barack Obama jumped ahead in the Wisconsin primary Tuesday night, reaching out for his ninth straight victory over a fading Hillary Rodham Clinton in their epic struggle for the Democratic presidential nomination. Sen. John McCain was the Republican winner, with ease.

Obama cut deeply into Clinton’s political bedrock, splitting the support of white women almost evenly with the former first lady and running well among working class voters in a blue collar battleground, according to polling place interviews.

The economy and trade were key issues in the race, and seven in 10 voters said international trade has resulted in lost jobs in Wisconsin. Fewer than one in five said trade has created more jobs than it has lost.

McCain dispatched former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee in the Republican race, edging closer to the 1,191 delegates he needs to clinch the Republican nomination at the party convention in St. Paul, Minn. next summer. The Associated Press made its call based on surveys of voters as they left the polls.

Obama scares me. He will make it hard to not vote for McCain. But I will be strong.

But seriously should it not scare me that people are hypnotized by him? I want to meet him and see if he can place me under his control, but I will go with someone who watches only in a mirror and who is strong enough to drag me away screaming for Barak.

Okay that was funny.

No, seriously I agreed with Rorin. Everyone who can think a little bit will see Obama for a socialist and we will all work to stop him along with the republican legislatures. With McCain the party will back him up to show our unity just like Terrie said today. He will get the liberal agenda in place so much easier than Obama will. Don’t forget these guys are shaking hands behind the scenes. Hitler got away with what he did but we know about him and there is talk radio to scream and shout about Obama and his socialism.

Can you tell I’ve been talking to people around the lunch table at college? Not all college students are liberal. Some of us have trunks for noses. And some of us stay up too late. Nite.

Our Mission Statement

Encourage people to learn about our Constitution and the freedoms it preserves and to have faith in the Judaeo-Christian principles upon which it is based so that when those freedoms are threatened action may be taken to protect them.

In support of our mission statement, here is our Three-Fold Purpose of the blog, In God We Trust.

1. Defining and spreading an understanding of our Constitutional freedoms for the purpose of sustaining those freedoms.

2. Identifying threats to the unity of the conservative base, and helping people to resist the pressure to compromise values as an answer to political tensions.

3. Spreading the message that the key for healing the nation is showing respect, tolerance and kindness as we accept the political differences of others.
