The March to Communism

Before you read this, go put on the Russian national anthem to play in the background. Once again, Glenn Beck has connected dots that no one else in the MSM or talk radio is. Thanks, Glenn. No really, thanks.
The March to Communism
February 13, 2008
Overview
We are on a collision course with socialism/communism here in the United States. With McCain being the GOP nominee, Clinton or Obama will be the favorite in the general election. It’s not just a fear slogan to say ‘democrats are communist’ – just take a look at their own words AND policies and decide for yourself.
$1.5 trillion
Number of dollars over the years, state and local governments have promised, but not paid for in retiree health care and other non-pension post-employment benefits.
Feds up to their ears
The federal government is in no position to bail out these states and local governments because their unfunded future liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid as is widely reported is an estimated $50 TRILLION.
But even that isn’t the FULL story because that $50 TRILLION dollars only projects unfunded liabilities for the next 75 years—unless the government knows something we don’t—a lot of people are still going to be around after 75 years–if you project the unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid over the infinite horizon MEDICARE’S UNFUNDED liabilities shoot from $33.9 TRILLION to a present-value unfunded obligation of $74.3 TRILLION—and that’s just MEDICARE!
Democrats (and some R’s) Solution? Spend!
Spend more, lots more! Hillarycare Part II would cost and estimated $110 BILLION a year with Obama’s plan coming in at $60 BILLION annually.
2008 proposed federal budget allocations:
To get an idea just how much the 08 crop wants to spend, here’s what some existing programs already cost.
United States Secret Service 1.4 Billion
Customs and Border Protection 8.8 Billion
Immigration and Customs Enforcement 4.8 Billion
United States Coast Guard 7.3 Billion
The ENTIRE Department of Homeland Security proposed budget for 2008 comes in at $43 BILLION (less than either Hillary’s or Obama’s health care proposal).
Clinton’s other campaign promises:
$$ Spend $1 Billion For The Development Of Affordable Housing Through Housing Trust Funds. “In order to encourage the development of affordable housing, Sen. Clinton will establish a $1 billion fund to support state, county, and municipal housing trust funds
$ Sen. Clinton Has Introduced Legislation And Campaigned To Create A U.S. Public Service Academy, At A Cost Of Approximately $200 Million Annually; Multiplied By 4 Years = $800 Million.
$$$$ Sen. Clinton Has Proposed 401(k) For All Americans, Funded In Part By The Government At A Cost Of Up To $25 Billion Per Year, Multiplied By 4 Years = $100 Billion
$$$ Sen. Clinton’s Baby Bond Proposal would give $5,000 to each of the 4 million babies born in the U.S. each year, totaling $20 billion per year, multiplied by 4 years = $80 billion.
$$$$ Clinton wants to create a $50 billion “strategic energy fund” to develop new sources of fuel and has proposed paying for it by eliminating tax subsidies for oil companies. Edwards has outlined a similar program and would eliminate the oil company subsidies as well as establish a cap-and-trade system requiring companies to pay for emitting pollution.
Obama’s other promises
? Credit Card Consumers’ Bill of Rights—“stop credit card companies from exploiting consumers with unfair practices…”
$ Credit Card 5 Star Rating System—similar to the Department of Homeland Security’s Color coded threat assessment rating system; Obama, if elected will implement a 5 star rating system for credit cards “which will assess the degree to which credit cards meet consumer-friendly standards…” Senator Obama previously introduced such a bill and put the price tag at $10 MILLION annually
$$$ Foreclosure Prevention Fund. In over your head; bought a home too big for your budget? No problem—Senator Obama is proposing a fund to “assist individuals who purchased homes that are simply too expensive for their income levels…”; estimated FIRST year cost? $10 BILLION.
$$$$ Proposal to create 5-E Youth Services Corps (the 5 “E”’s stand for energy, efficiency, environmental education, and employment) as well as a Green Job Corps to engage disconnected and disadvantaged youth in the all things Green.
$$ Supports requiring employers to give all employees 5 days of paid sick leave
$$$ Supports “encouraging the diversity in the ownership of broadcast media, promote the development of new media outlets for expression of diverse viewpoints, and clarify the public interest obligations of broadcasters who occupy the nation’s spectrum.” Can you say FAIRNESS DOCTRINE or perhaps public funding for Air America?
Totals
$286.999 BILLION Projected annual spending for Obama’s proposals
$218 BILLION Projected annual spending for Clinton’s proposals
$7 BILLION Projected annual spending for McCain’s proposals
$54 BILLION Projected annual spending for Huckabee’s proposals
$150 BILLION (in savings) Projected savings after Ron Paul eliminates most of the Government.
What this spending does
1. Push us deeper and further into debt at a time when we absolutely can’t afford it;
2. Reflect a particular paternalistic approach to governing—a true NANY STATE
3. Each proposal increases the absolute RAW power of government
March into Socialism/Communism
Other socialist countries (even Russia in some ways) are decentralizing their form of national healthcare—Obama and Clinton seek to increase government’s role in our medical care and treatment decisions and options; worse yet they plan on burying us in debt in order to do it;
Socialist, communist and totalitarian regimes have always focused on harnessing the youth into national organizations. Within these organizations, ideological conformity can be imposed, future leaders can be groomed and political paybacks can be awarded to those who have donated generously in time or money to a particular candidate.
We had over 60 MILLION Americans volunteer their time last year—most likely without any government incentive for doing so. Do we really need the government sponsoring ideologically based charitable groups like Senator Clinton’s US Public Service Academy or Obama’s 5-E Youth Services Green Army?
Glenn sums it up this way:
‘If you go back and you read history from just before Wilson all the way through FDR, what they were trying to do with these Progressives, which Hillary Clinton claims she is, an early 20th century Progressive. Go back and read about these people. They are telling you who they are, and Americans just won’t do the homework. They don’t believe in local level. This is the opposite of what our founding fathers set up. These people, all believers in Marxism. They all believed that the Soviet Union would succeed and so what they did was they were looking for something to unite nationally and Mussolini — you have to put this into perspective. Mussolini was not hated for much of his term. In fact, he was idealized by the left here in America. They thought fascism, before it became about extermination of entire people, they thought, this is a good thing; we could just get the Government to tell people what’s good, what’s right. That’s why the Progressives in the early 20th century brought you prohibition! It wasn’t good for you to drink. It wasn’t good for society to have alcohol available. And if you didn’t agree with them, you were either in on it with big alcohol or you were too stupid and you needed to be retrained. And so they were looking for things that would unite the country but not war and so FDR, one of the projects he started was the Conservation Corps to help the environment, to save our forests. Does any of this sound familiar? Does anybody think that maybe possibly that’s the real story behind going green, the environmental movement that now cannot be dissevered from global warming? Starting projects, little armies of the youth! Put them into a mindset that is one with the government, one with the environment, one with the Earth.
Depressing Summary
We hope you think socialism/communism is neat—because we are going to be waist deep in it about 36 months from now!

Depressing is right. In fact, it is so depressing that most Americans will just throw it aside like unwanted junk mail and refuse to deal with it. It’s easier that way. Wake me up when it’s over.

Putin makes me nervous. Below is one paragraph from an article and is quoting Putin:
On foreign policy, the Kremlin leader repeated warnings that Moscow would target Russian missiles at NATO countries which hosted parts of a planned U.S. missile defence shield and would strongly oppose independence for the Serb province of Kosovo.

Cameron I think you are right. Lots of people are afraid to face the reality of Muslim extremists. To have cold war fears back and in some ways worse because we have moved so far toward socialism, is just way too spooky for more folks. That doesn’t mean we won’t face it here but I know that I shy away from it personally. I need a little time to take it all in and accept it even in the face of all the facts.

Last night I read the discussion here about Russia. It really scared me so I did some research to see if I believed it. After hours of reading I had to admit that there is so much information out there by credible sources that I couldn’t deny it. I am tempted to be an ostrich and forget it but I will try not to. I know this is long but I wanted to put a little of what I found:
Anatoliy Golitsyn’s 1984 book, New Lies for Old, predicted with 94% accuracy all the recent changes in the communist bloc, including the economic and political reforms, the rise of Solidarity, the removal of the Berlin Wall, the reunification of Germany and the collapse of the Soviet Union. Golitsyn’s latest book, The Perestroika Deception, reinforces his contention in New Lies for Old that all the changes were meticulously planned years in advance.
The gullible West
French author Jean-François Revel minces no words in labeling the West as ”gullible” concerning its dealings with Russia. In his book, How Democracies Perish, Revel states that he does not intend to recite the annals of Western gullibility, but nevertheless voices amazement at communist propaganda’s repeated success in duping the democracies throughout the world. He reminds his readers that in 341 B.C., Demosthenes tried to open the Athenians’ eyes to the “peace offensives” of Philip of Macedon: “Our adversary, with arms in hand and supported by a strong force, covers himself with the word ‘peace’ while committing acts of war.” [i] Peace, peace, where there is no peace.
Russia and China have outlined plans for a future war with America (Read more…), and Revel points out that such declarations are characteristic of communism: Totalitarians are obliging: they declare and put in writing in advance everything they plan to do. The democracies normally make the same mistake they made with Hitler in refusing to take these detailed programs seriously because they seem so horrendous. [ii]
But how could we Westerners have been so willfully blind to Soviet expansionism? Because all our notions about Soviet communism rest on the same [false] supposition: that everything will straighten itself out. [iii]
A dangerous game of denial
The denial factor helps to explain our leaders’ (both political and religious) perplexing failure to acknowledge the Russian threat, even in the light of overwhelming evidence. It is unfortunate that certain leaders, “Sensing that the totalitarian threat cannot be dispelled by compromise… prefer to deny the danger exists. They are even enraged by those who dare to see and name it.” [iv]
The ostrich approach, the head-in-the-sand reaction, is sadly how some deal with the situation. As Bruno Bettelheim has observed, people employ “various distancing devices, false analogies, and forms of outright denial” in order “not to have to come to grips with a grim reality.” [v] Bettelheim explains:
When the event is potentially destructive, [denial] is the most pernicious psychological defense, because it does not permit taking appropriate action which might safeguard against the real dangers. Denial therefore leaves the individual most vulnerable to the very perils against which he tried to defend himself…. [vi]
Feigning weakness
For the great majority of mankind are satisfied with appearances as though they were realities… and are often more influenced by the things that seem, than by those that are. – Machiavelli According to current propaganda, Russia has become so weak, its economy so precarious, that Russia is no longer considered a threat. Again, Revel chides the West for its naïve assessments: “… it is a mistake to ascribe democratic logic to a totalitarian system. The democracies trim their military spending when the economy goes sour; the communist countries do not.” [vii]
Meanwhile, as the West soaks up Russian propaganda, communism advances worldwide, with military threats such as China, North Korea, Cuba, Iraq, Iran, etc., growing stronger day by day. But, as usual, the West does nothing, and says nothing:
Purpose of the deception
There are several goals to be attained by this strategic Russian deception: (1) slow American military growth; (2) increase Russian military strength as America lowers its guard; (3) obtain massive economic aid from the West; and (4) strike a surprise blow when America least expects it. (1) Slow American military growth:
In 1989, Senator Malcolm Wallop (R-WY) described the ominous and growing military gap between America and the Soviet Union. Senator Wallop quoted from a report by the highly respected Committee on the Present Danger (CPD) which pointed out that the US was worse off entering the 1990s than it was in the 1980s. The US Department of Defense report, Soviet Military Power 1988, highlighted the following Soviet to US weapons procurement ratios between 1978 and ‘87: submarines - 2 to 1; tanks - 3 to 1; other armored vehicles - 4-1/2 to 1; bombers - 4 to 1; ICBMs/SLBMs - 4-1/2 to 1; SAMS - 6-1/2 to 1; artillery, mortars, multiple rocket launchers - 8-1/2 to 1.
Defectors such as Golitsyn and Lunev have confirmed that this strategic deception intends to alter the balance of power in Russia’s favor: We have to look at Russia with an eye to previous defector warnings about Kremlin strategy. Americans need to reconsider the importance of KGB defector Anatoliy Golitsyn, who predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union several years before it happened. Golitsyn’s 1984 book, “New Lies for Old,” alleged that the coming Soviet collapse would be orchestrated by the KGB in order to disarm the West. General Jan Sejna, a high ranking Czech defector, made a similar claim in his 1982 book, “We Will Bury You.” In 1967 Sejna learned of a plan to fake the collapse of the Warsaw Pact. This plan hoped to advance the arms control process, encourage Western disarmament, and alter the balance of power in Russia’s favor. Surprise Nuclear Attack, Part 2, J.R. Nyquist (WorldNetDaily) (2) increase Russian military strength:
Russia has continued its military buildup at an alarming pace. It has sealed a Russia-China military alliance (recall from Our Lady of the Roses message, “Russia will also utilize the manpower of China”), including major arms sales agreements: Russia is now negotiating a combined arms sales package with China valued at up to $15 billion over the next five years—the largest such deal in Russia’s history, according to the authoritative British publication Jane’s Intelligence Review. The question is why. (U.S. Concern: Moscow-Beijing Arms Deals, November 30, 2000) Russia has also armed China with warships capable of vaporizing an entire American aircraft carrier.
An underground Russian military complex called Yamantau, the size of Washington, D.C., has been discovered through U.S. satellite intelligence:
Of immediate concern is the vast underground site built into the Ural Mountains known as Yamantau… Yamantau is believed to conceal one of Russia’s darkest nuclear secrets… According to U.S. intelligence sources, the Russian government has pumped more than $4.5 billion into building a sprawling underground complex at Yamantau—impervious to direct nuclear assault—that spans an area as large as Washington, D.C., inside the Beltway, or some 400 square miles… How many times do we need to witness Russian cheating on missile pacts before abandoning a misguided policy? What will it take to wake up U.S. leaders to such international duplicity—a nuclear attack? What do you suppose that nuclear war-fighting bunker in Yamantau is for—an underground housing development?” (Can Moscow Be Trusted? Inside Russia’s Magic Mountain - Part II (WorldNetDaily)
Recent intelligence reports confirm that thousands of Russian fighter-bombers are currently under construction.
The summer of 2000 Russia held massive war games meant to “make NATO strategists think twice about the dangerous consequences” of moving eastward. Moscow characterized the exercises, called “Combat Unity 2000,” unprecedented in their magnitude, taking place “for the first time ever … on such a scale.”
Russia has recently developed a road-mobile ICBM, the most advanced ICBM in the world, called the Topol-M missile: In a calculated warning for the United States to butt out of its internal affairs, Russia launched with fanfare its newest strategic nuclear weapon Tuesday. It soared eastward across 3,400 miles and seven time zones, landing as programmed in a target range on Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula just short of Alaska. But its true impact was directed westward toward the American heartland, now shown to be within easy range of the versatile Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile. This awesome display of force came only four days after President Boris Yeltsin—outraged at President Clinton’s criticism of his war to suppress the breakaway Caucasian republic of Chechnya—placed Russia’s nuclear missiles on full war footing. …The launch of the Topol-M, with its reputed ultimate range of more than 6,000 miles, is the latest in a series of recent alarming military moves in Russia. (Russia Launches New Missile as Warning, NewsMax.com, Dec. 15, 1999) As Newsmax has observed, “Clearly the Bear is awake—and thanks to Vladimir Putin, it’s baring its teeth and sharpening its claws.” (The Bear rises, December 18, 2000) All this from a country that is helpless and no longer a threat? Please.
(3) obtain massive economic aid from the West:
“To challenge America’s dominance, Russia today cultivates its strategic partnership with the People’s Republic of China—a partnership explicitly targeting American policies and interests around the globe and founded on increasing both the PRC’s and Russia’s military capabilities against the United States,” the report said….
(4) strike a surprise blow when America least expects it:
J.R. Nyquist, an expert on the Russian military, gives a list of ten indicators of Russian military preparations for nuclear war. According to Nyquist, every indicator in the list has now been reported and verified by the Russian or Western press. (Surprise Nuclear Attack, Part 2, J.R. Nyquist (WorldNetDaily). Furthermore, the Russian defector Colonel Stanislav Lunev has warned Congress that a surprise nuclear attack by Russia is a real possibility (Ex-spy Fears Sneak Russian Attack,

Thank you for the welcome yesterday. My Wednesday schedule is rushed so I didn’t get back until today. Chuck, I am in the midwest and you are right, I would rather not say more. There is a lot of tension lately in academic circles regarding anything smacking of conspiracy or even the slightest bit conservative. What makes that so interesting is that it is an open secret among the intellegensia that Globalism is a done deal. So many people think only conspiracy nuts believe in a New World Order but in my line of work, it is discussed all the time. Russia and China are key players in the game but the elite count on this being too frightening for the dumb masses to want to face. It works well.

Glad you are back, Anon88. I can’t tell you how good it is to hear you confirm what my history professor at BYU told me. I asked about the New World Order in a class of 150 people. He said it was seen in his profession as the natural progression of society. We started as hunter gatherers, to villages, on to city-states, then countries. He told us that this was discussed very openly in his profession. He seemed surprised by the shock this sent through the class. The majority of the students were clueless.

I’m not surprised by your story. We tend to forget that such common knowledge that can be confirmed in thousands of ways is still thought to be fringe material. This shows how well your whole “conspiracy” as a dirty word has succeeded. I have to admit that your understanding of why politicaly correct speech was developed was part of what attracted me to your blog. It works. People are terrified of labels. BTW, I have great respect for my colleagues at BYU. It is a well respected school. I am at a smaller institution.

I thought that when George Bush Sr. talked on national television about the New World Order that the cat was out of the bag. How do so many people continue to not see what is right in front of their face?
Anon88 Says:
14 February 2008 at 12:04 pm.
Sorry, had to take care of some things. I think emotional overload is the reason most people can’t see what is in front of their eyes. Roy’s political spectrum is right on the money but that kind of manipulation sends people right over the edge. Their world view is protected against that kind of invasion of thought so they reject it in spite of solid and overwhelming documentation. The fact that Obama and Hillary represent the power elite on the leftist socialist side, and McCain represents the fascist agenda on the other side, and the reality that both sides join together, brings about a hopelessness that is easy to dismiss because it is unacceptable.
Joy Bischoff Says:

What do you think will happen with this election then?
Anon88 Says:
14 February 2008 at 12:12 pm.
I’m not sure. We are talking a lot about it. The socialist left wants to use economic means and social pressure to bring about Globalism. What you would probably call the fascist, or business faction wants to use war. Academia is definitely on the side of using peaceful means but it takes longer.

Peter,
Your comment is more of a comment on the kind of people you hang around. The people I hang around are all well aware of the real situation. Most of them are supportive but not all. There are more like me than some would expect. Globalism seems like a natural progression but I am also a Christian and I believe only the Lord can rule the world fairly without stomping on the rights of man.

In light of your conservation I thought I was post part of the following article:
Presidential frontrunner Barack Obama is pushing a bill that will lead to the implementation of a UN global tax, costing the U.S. at least $845 billion dollars over thirteen years in the name of fighting worldwide poverty, as well as banning “small arms and light weapons”.
The “Global Poverty Act,” which is sponsored by Obama, is up for a Senate vote today, and if passed would mandate the U.S. to spend 0.7 percent of the gross national product on foreign aid, on top of the money being sent out of the country already.
The bill passed the House by a voice vote last year because most members failed to read what was actually in it. The words “global” and “poverty” in the title were presumably enough to convince them that it must be good.
