Super Tuesday - Let’s Hear Your Voice
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Presidential Election 2008 .
Let’s think positively and pull another underdog upset in our Super Tuesday bowl. Come on team, let’s catch a pass on our helmet. It would be great to hear from everyone today.
An email from Kristen reminds us: Just a reminder that today is Super Tuesday. This could possibly be the most important primary election we have ever had. Your vote will count wherever you are. Please make sure you get out there and use it.
The following states have primaries or caucuses on February 5th: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho Democrats, Illinois, Kansas Democrats, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana Republicans, New Jersey, New Mexico Democrats, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah and West Virginia Republicans.
For the record: Mitt Romney has, based on his social, economic, and foreign policies, been endorsed by Tom Tancredo, Rick Santorum, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Michael Reagan and many other high-profile, rock-solid conservatives and conservative organizations. Most recently, national immigration control expert, Kris Kobach, has joined the Romney campaign. Also, according research done by Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC) there is no connection between Romney and the CFR. So you can rest easy on that. (ALIPAC has not and will not endorse any one political candidate, but they have said that the only two who meet their criteria are Romney and Paul.)
Check on-line for information on polling in your own state.

That’s right Joy. Our quarterback Mitt is like Eli. He has to get away from a mob of tacklers (the press) to make that miracle pass and we have to make the miracle catch. Go Team.

Good morning Mac and Joy. Mac it sounds like you wanted those mean Giants to beat my Patriots. Today it needs to be the Patriots who win, if you know what I mean. We can think of the other team as the giant Trojans.

Hi Angela. I like your analogy.
CNN wrote about Romney working through the night so we have to get in the traces with him and pull with lots of faith today. Here is a paragraph from CNN.
The Republican presidential contender’s signature coif was in disarray when he touched down in Charleston, W.Va., at 5 a.m. Tuesday amid a more than 5,000-mile, coast-to-coast-to-coast dash aimed at bettering rival John McCain in the Super Tuesday nominating contests.

Please encourage those you know to vote today. This might also give you a chance to help educate those who are uncertain.
Thanks Terrie for putting the Romney-NAU video on the site. That is so important.
Also… Roy as soon as this day is done, will you consider reposting your Political Spectrum article so that it will not disappear from the first page of the site for a while longer? It is so important that it needs to be easy to find.
Courage!!

Matt I read your comment above. I’m having a hard time keeping my cool too. Everything I am hearing on TV and radio by the media is making it sound like McCain is winning everything. The bias since yesterday afternoon has found a whole new level. I want to punch somebody.
I just listened to a video from abc news that was ridiculous. They hate Romney. They say national polls have McCain 45% and Romney 25%. What are they smoking? Joy I read your blog about polls and I have to think this was one that had a manipulative question to get results like this. Or they just picked numbers out of the air knowing that people like to jump on a band wagon like sheep. Come on people, think for yourselves. Don’t be herded.
Then they talked like it was McCain running against Rush. They said they don’t think Rush can do it and a bunch of other crap. I’d better not drink any more coffee today. MAN

Good Morning America. Listening to the news, I think it is interesting that yesterday and this morning they are giving a lot of air time to Huckabee. I think they want to give him some free publicity to boost his numbers to hurt Mitt.
The radio news just said that with a win in CA, McCain could cement taking the nomination. They sure are pressuring Californians. They must be worried. The DOW is way down. Maybe people will think about the economy and realize there is only one answer. GO MITT!

Rush is on a tear. He says McCain’s camp took a personal note from Bob Dole to Rush and leaked it to the media. The press is eating it up. He talked about McCain using his war record and parading it around and Bob Dole never did that. He doesn’t believe Mitt dissed Dole because Dole ran a poor race against Clinton. He didn’t attack Dole personally or attack him as a war hero.
He said Senator Dole did not endorse McCain and also that Dole did not scold Rush. He is saying McCain is twisting and lying. You hope your friends in the media keep repeating it for you so the lie becomes a fact.
Thanks for venting, Rush. That felt good since we don’t have a voice we can put out there. I probably won’t get much work done today. I’m going to listen to the talk shows so they can air my feelings.
Stumpy, on a day like today I need your terrible humor.

I noticed the same thing about Huckabee in the media, E.E. They have his picture on top at CNN. They don’t know how obvious they are.

I’m listening to Rush too. He said he wants to hit us between the eyes. McCain is insisting we put aside differences and support the republican party. But he didn’t support the party for ten years even though they begged him to. He has stabbed us in the back. I know what you mean Matt. It helps me not be so mad to hear someone saying things we want to say.

Oh and one more thing. Mitt needs a great V.P. I think he should pick Stumpy. He would chew up all Mitt’s enemies. Or at least he would hold them off with his shotgun.

The news just said McCain is up in the polls in California. They are lying. Check the polls yourself. Don’t be manipulated!

Go Stumpy.
Rush said that everybody needs to stick a sign beneath their TV that says the media is trying to manipulate me into not voting.
He said that the vote in the east is mostly for McCain and the press will make it sound like he is sweeping everything so that people in the midwest and west will get discouraged and not get out and vote.

jobob, I heard that too and couldn’t believe it. Seems like there should be some recourse for the media lying.

Mitt says Washington needs shaking up. How do you think would be a good way to prove that. This is something I’ve been thinking about as I’ve watched the endorsements and the media beating him up. I think the very best proof in the world is how freaked out all the Washington insiders are becoming over the thought of Mitt in the White House. Nothing could make the Republican Establishment jump on board with McCain faster than the thought of their cozy nest being cleaned out. They would rather have distasteful Juan McVain than Romney. It is all about protecting themselves. Like Roy said in his article it is all about control. How could it be more obvious? Anyone voting for McCain wants Washington insiders to stay in power and nothing to change.

Felt good to vote for Romney today. I wish I could have voted in California. Who lives in California? If you live in California, take a Romney supporter- or at least an Anti-McCain(pro-constitution voter with you to the polls).
