Minnesota Picks Romney

Posted by Terrie Soberg under: Presidential Election 2008 .

After flip-flopping results, Romney came out on top in my own state of Minnesota. I moved here last year from Tennessee, so this was my first experience with the caucus system. In our precinct with 38 people in attendance, Romney received 15 votes while Ron Paul came in second with 11 votes. One of the Ron Paul supporters had access to the internet while we were there, so he was able to keep tabs on how the front-runner kept changing.

Romney placed well ahead of the other candidates. When I attended the get-together with Ann Romney on Sunday, I could see that Romney had a well-organized group of Minnesotans in his corner and their hard work has obviously paid off. Congratulations to all involved!

An additional note on the Ron Paul supporters at my caucus. They were obviously the most well-informed participants in the night’s activities. They came prepared with copies of rules and procedures and kept a hawk-like eye to make sure everything ran correctly.

Fortunately, we only had one McCain supporter, and no Huckabee ones.

Now to sleep and prepare for the aftermath tomorrow. Good night all, and God bless us!

Look at the wording of the paragraph below. I’m afraid that the MSM will be emboldened by their power to sway the people and will be nastier than ever toward Mitt. When they talk about everyone else in the article there is positive and polite narrative. Hang in there Mitt:

Mitt Romney [AK, CO, MA, MN, MT, ND, UT] failed to impress almost anyone, with wins in Massachusetts, Utah and a few other places he could not have conceivably lost. He vowed to stay in the race, but with Huckabee continuing to pull conservatives out of his column, the business man may soon have to re-evaluate his investment.

E.E. They don’t mention Minnesota by name? Was he expected to win there?

Our Mission Statement

Encourage people to learn about our Constitution and the freedoms it preserves and to have faith in the Judaeo-Christian principles upon which it is based so that when those freedoms are threatened action may be taken to protect them.

In support of our mission statement, here is our Three-Fold Purpose of the blog, In God We Trust.

1. Defining and spreading an understanding of our Constitutional freedoms for the purpose of sustaining those freedoms.

2. Identifying threats to the unity of the conservative base, and helping people to resist the pressure to compromise values as an answer to political tensions.

3. Spreading the message that the key for healing the nation is showing respect, tolerance and kindness as we accept the political differences of others.
