McCain on Amnesty
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Presidential Election 2008 .
According to the polls, some people seem to be getting discouraged about beating McCain, and are throwing in the towel. I believe we have a responsibility to fight to the finish line and hope for the best. So we will keep on trying to expose McCain’s liberal agenda. Hat-tip to Cavetrollhead for this information regarding McCain’s position on illegal immigration:
Here’s one of the McCain money quotes on amnesty, from the Tucson Citizen in 2003: “I think we can set up a program where amnesty is extended to a certain number of people.”
That was McCain then.
This is McCain now: “The fact is that I’ve never supported amnesty.”

So what happens if you lose the fight and Romney loses? Will the things you are trying to do here matter?

I just stole another comment from Helen at E.R.2008:
Just watched the Big Story on Foxnews. John Edward disclosed that according to his source, Rudy made a deal with J. McCain. If McCain wins, Rudy will get Attorney General. Washington is totally corrupted, and needs someone like Romney to make a fundamental change.

S.J. I just saw your comment. If you look back at what was written when they started this blog you will see it was not about electing a candidates. Not everybody here supports Romney. What they do support is more important than any single candidate and is timeless. Read the introduction.

Cameron,
I would love to hear more on The Bit Story on Fox News. If you hear anything else, let us know. This doesn’t surprise me at all. Rumor also has it that Guliani pushed to make New York and New Jersey Winner-Take-All because he counted on taking them both. (Kind of back-fired) I will try to find out more about that.

I want to point out again to S.J. and others that all we have to do for now is keep McCain under 50% to get Huckabee and Romney to a brokered convention. If Huckabee stays in the fight, that shouldn’t be hard. So don’t slack on anything. We can’t let McCain push his historically unconstitutional, and anti growth agenda in the white house. (Of course I don’t consider it out of reach that Romney wins more delegates before a brokered convention, but either way it will most likely go to a brokered convention if we Mittwits keep pushing.

Cavetrollhead, I think you are right on track. So many people seem to be giving up but the brokered convention is the way.
