Time to Put the Press on Notice
Posted by Terrie Soberg under: Constitution in Peril; Presidential Election 2008; Rejecting Herd Mentality .
The press has overplayed its hand and now it is time to act. Help us spread this message by emailing this blog to all of your Conservative friends before Super Tuesday, February 5, 2008.
For years the national press has been increasing its influence on the thinking of the American public. Recently, more and more people are freeing themselves from their grip of blind acceptance of what the media reports. For
the first time, almost everyone I know is recognizing that the press has gone too far. Their bias against all the true conservatives in the Republican primaries has crossed the line so far that there is beginning to be a serious public outcry. If we want to win our nation back from social liberalism, we have to reign in their public arm, the press. We do that by overwhelmingly rejecting their hand-picked choice for the GOP nomination, John McCain.
The arrogance of the press has grown so out of proportion, that they truly believe they can use these Machiavellian methods to force their choice on us. Florida, show them they are wrong by supporting a true conservative. Then let the other states follow with a resounding ‘no’ to manipulation. True conservatives are being told to be quiet by many fellow conservative columnists and Washington insiders who support McCain. They say we are tearing our party apart by refusing to go along quietly with their plan to “heal” our nation. The sad reality that they seem not to understand is, if we heal the rift by moving left, we will no longer recognize the face of America beneath the scar. If we refuse to join beaten conservatives in raising the white flag and moving drastically to the left in order to keep peace, the media may decide to return to at least a pretense of fair and balanced reporting. Join us in putting the press on notice; smother your bias or you will lose all credibility, and with it, a large portion of your audience.
As one example of media bias that also shows how liberals are attempting to force our choice, here are a few excerpts from an op/ed piece by Robert Novak from Monday, January 21, 2008. Notice the arrogance of his title:
McCain is No. 1 –whether GOP establishment likes it or not
McCain by any measurement is the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination. He clearly leads in Florida’s Jan. 29 primary, and a victory there will send him into the virtual national primary Feb. 5 threatening to wipe out his opposition.
Now watch how gently they treat one of McCain’s flip-flops:
He (McCain) has adjusted his support for immigration reform to negate the issue.
And finally, we are informed by Novak that our party leaders have reluctantly succumbed to the pressure of supporting McCain, so we…the sheep…had better get in line:
Even the GOP elders seem ready to grit their teeth and go along with McCain.
The time has come for the so-called “dumb masses” to speak up and stand up. Join the resistance, fight with your vote. Patrick Henry’s words “Give me liberty or give me death” fly in the face of conservatives who are surrendering to make nice with the liberals and save our country. This nation is more than a piece of land, it is a Republic that will be lost to socialism if we allow ourselves to be led by the nose. I believe that those GOP elders that Novak is referring to would have been called Tories if they had lived at our nation’s founding.
Kindness and respect is how to heal America, not by selling our souls.

I take it you want everything G rated on this site but I am tempted. What a jerk this Novak is. He is so dang arrogant thinking he can shove his and most of the rest of the MSM junk down our throats. I am going to send this to my Ron Paul friends because they love this stuff. Hopefully everybody else who loves the Constitution and supports a candidate who loves it will get this out too.

I have a lot of relatives who are supporting McCain. I’m kind of nervous about sending this to them. It really is obvious that the press hates Romney. I don’t remember ever seeing anything like this. I would rather send money than put out an email.

I would have been behind this email idea yesterday. Now that my man Fred has dropped out, I don’t know what to do or who to support. I guess I’ll probably end up throwing in with Romney in the long run. It’s a sad day for me.

Come on Carrie, we got to do what we can now before it is too late. At least send it to some friends. It’s time to be brave and change the world.
Hey T. Fan, check out Ron Paul before you decide on Romney. His voting record is right in line with the Constitution. Some of his supporters act crazy but don’t judge him by what they do. He is a great guy. Sorry about you losing your guy.

I did it Jesse. I sent it to a few friends and got an email back from one of them telling me they had been getting really mad at how the press was treating Mitt. I know you like Ron Paul but you seem pretty open minded about other candidates. That is great. I think Fox news is the worst about Mitt. I used to think CNN was bad and I guess they are really liberal but Fox news isn’t being honest. I’m not going to watch them any more.
