Why Do Republicans Want a Democrat?
Posted by Joy Bischoff under: Presidential Election 2008; Uncategorized; What's News .
Today I read the following paragraph in an article entitled: Romney Makes Final Michigan Pitch, by Glen Johnson:
Complicating Romney’s task is that Democrats and undeclared voters can participate in Michigan’s Republican primary. That could boost a candidate like McCain who has proved attractive to non-Republicans. The Arizona senator was tied with Romney in one weekend poll but trailed him by 5 percentage points in another.
It is widely acknowledged that McCain won New Hampshire because of Independents and Democratic crossovers. The same reason is given for his surge in Michigan. I have friends and relatives who plan on voting for McCain because they do not know he is liberal. The evidence of his positions is screamingly apparent everywhere we turn. As Johnson wrote above, McCain is attractive to non-Republicans. Why? Because he is a liberal in almost every position. Folks, if you want to vote for McCain, go right ahead, but please, read just a little so you understand that you are voting to move this country to the left. That simple.

That just about sums it up. I guess you could call it the Straight Talk Express!
