Americans United

I believe that the only way we can save our nation, The United States of America, is by being UNITED! Those who would take away our freedoms realize that a united people will foil their plans, hence they are doing all they can to divide us in any way possible.

Last week I watched this short online video about the North American Union and other serious attacks on our freedoms.

I was so impressed with the concluding comments of this presentation that I transcribed them word for word.

… the social manipulation of society to the generation of fear and division has completely detached humans from their sense of power and reality, a process which has been going on for centuries if not millennia, Religion, patriotism, race, wealth, class and every other form of arbitrary separatist identification thus conceived has served to create a controlled population utterly malleable in the hands of a few. “Divide and conquer” is the motto and as long as people continue to see themselves as separate in everything else, they lend themselves to being completely enslaved. The men behind the curtain know this and they also know, if people ever realize the truth of their relationship to nature and the truth of their personal power, the entire manufactured zeitgeist they prey upon will collapse like a house of cards.

Paul admonished the Philipians to “…stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together… To be one with others requires a mutual respect and certain degree of humility, for if we are filled with pride or enmity toward others, we will be very willing to accept those arbitrary identifications of race, wealth, and class. The proud like to feel that they are better than others because they understand the scriptures better, or are more “patriotic,” or have more money, or education, or that they are in a higher social class.

This kind of attitude naturally alienates those who are not included in their “superior circle.” Many will feel the need to prove they are just as good as the next guy, or make demands that they perceive will place them on equal footing. In short, pride makes the efforts to divide us effective. On the other hand, if we look upon others as children of God and are willing to respect others in spite of differences, then we can work together for those things that we all agree are important.

If a husband and wife can agree on WHAT they want to accomplish they can usually work out a way to make it happen, even if at first they disagree on what is the best course of action or the means to the desired end. If there is pride or there are other factors that make them unwilling to “give and take,” to lay aside petty differences and work together, the family may not survive.

Similarly, as Americans we must work together, or we may loose all that we hold dear. We must find common ground. We may disagree on A, B, and C, but what DO we agree on? Let’s support and empower one another as we focus on THOSE principles. We must remember that we are all in the same boat. If we are so busy arguing that we not willing to work together to sail our nation through the storm, we will all sink. United we stand, divided we fall.

Yes! This is the kind of thing I want to see. Thanks for sharing this Sharon. I hope people wake up soon before it is too late.

I guess this is a good test for this blog. I’m not sure about all this New World Order stuff but like they’ve been saying - we’ve got to work together. Because there is one thing I know, we are losing freedoms in this country and it has to stop and we have to stop hating everyone who doesn’t agree with everything we do or we’re done.

I think a good point is made here. Everyone has so much pride that they just want to support their candidate and beliefs. That makes it so hard to work with other people who disagree on things. I never really saw the problem with all this division that is happening coming from pride but I really do think that is the core of it all.

Rush keeps talking about identity politics. I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I haven’t thought I was doing that because I think about issues and the Constitution. Matt, I think you are right. We have to decide whether or not to associate with people we have called kooks because they are so different in their thinking. Does this make me part of identity politics? United we stand divided we fall. I’m starting to think Roy is right about this. The problem is, we get so invested in our opinion and it is hard to replace those strong feelings with cool thinking. So is that pride?

I know about an ancient culture that turned from being good to evil and broke up into tribes because of pride. A good way to compare that to us would be identity politics. History repeats itself.

I think what is happening in our country is very much like what happened anciently. Thanks, Carrie, for pointing this out. I have read more carefully the ancient accountof the time period when tribes were formed. Of course it is not exactly like our time, but I do see several similarities! Here are some excerpts:

….there began to be some disputings among the people; and some were lifted up unto pride and boastings because of their exceedingly great riches, yea, even unto great persecutions; for there were many merchants in the land, and also many lawyers, and many officers. And the people began to be distinguished by ranks, according to their riches and their chances for learning, yea, some were ignorant because of their poverty, and others did receive great learning because of their riches. …And thus there became a great inequality in all the land, …Now the cause of this iniquity of the people was this — Satan had great power, unto the stirring up of the people to do all manner of iniquity, and to the puffing them up with pride, tempting them to seek for power, and authority, and riches, and the vain things of the world.

(Note: When prophets came among the people testifying of Christ and of the wickedness of the people, those who testified were secretly put to death, contrary to the laws of the land, by corrupt judges. The account continues…)

Therefore a complaint came up unto …. the governor of the land, against these judges …Now it came to pass that those judges had many friends and kindreds; and the remainder, yea, even almost all the lawyers and the high priests, did gather themselves together, and unite with the kindreds of those judges who were to be tried according to the law. And they did enter into a covenant one with another, yea, even into that covenant which was given by them of old, which covenant was given and administered by the devil, to combine against all righteousness. ….And they did set at defiance the law and the rights of their country; and they did covenant one with another to destroy the governor, and to establish a king over the land, that the land should no more be at liberty but should be subject unto kings.

Now….they did not establish a king over the land; but in this same year,…, they did destroy upon the judgment seat, yea, did murder the chief judge of the land. And the people were divided one against another; and they did separate one from another into tribes, every man according to his family and his kindred and friends; and thus they did destroy the government of the land.

… And the regulations of the government were destroyed, because of the secret combination… And they did cause a great contention in the land, insomuch that the more righteous part of the people had nearly all become wicked;…

That’s what I was thinking about all right. I hope things don’t get that bad but there is a lot of anger and pride out there and no one seems to want to listen to anyone else. I’m worried about the part about there being no more liberty so they were subject unto kings. If we are manipulated by the press, or even something really crazy like voter fraud is going on, then the liberals will get in who they want so it would be like having a king.

Our Mission Statement

Encourage people to learn about our Constitution and the freedoms it preserves and to have faith in the Judaeo-Christian principles upon which it is based so that when those freedoms are threatened action may be taken to protect them.

In support of our mission statement, here is our Three-Fold Purpose of the blog, In God We Trust.

1. Defining and spreading an understanding of our Constitutional freedoms for the purpose of sustaining those freedoms.

2. Identifying threats to the unity of the conservative base, and helping people to resist the pressure to compromise values as an answer to political tensions.

3. Spreading the message that the key for healing the nation is showing respect, tolerance and kindness as we accept the political differences of others.
